I guess I could post this here, and probably in the vinyl thread too - my latest haul:

Bought 10 records off ArcadeMode. They had a summer sale, so with shipping it came to $10 CDN/record. Really good deal as I picked up a lot of classics that I don't have on wax. I'm really getting into vinyl, it's about all I play at home. I hardly use Traktor Scratch anymore haha.

Oh god, do want. I want to go to the Music Man in Ghent again, they're moving this month and they're selling their entire stock for 50% of the original price. Money is short though so I only bought the Tirsdagjam 12" by Lindstrom & Prins Thomas this week.

DJ-Gaf, I need some help! I never played in a club setting before, I always play at birthday parties of my friends and stuff. But this saturday I'm participating in a DJ contest at my local club. I feel pretty confident about it, but is there anything I should pay special attention to? Any do's or don'ts?

He's really got the style down well, wish the vocals were a bit more present in his mixes but it's just a minor quibble.

Recently falling in love with Aether's album called Artifacts.

I really liked that album in early 09. I think it may have been one of my favorite eletronic/hip-hop albums of the year had that Bibio not taken it's spot. Really reminds me of RJD2's blending of soul/R&B with boom bap/electronic on his first 2 LP's.

Mehdi is amazing, definitely the most talented *DJ* on Ed Banger and even in general. His sets are great and he's such a confident DJ. I've never heard a bad set from him yet!

the ed banger tour was the best DJ set I have ever been to in my life. 5+ hours of mehdi, busy P, sebastian, justice, and I think feadz. at the beginning of the night they were blowing an airhorn every couple of songs and it made me jump every time. they kept pulling out fresh ones too. by the end of the night it was so loud I could see them raising the airhorn up but I couldnt hear it :lol I sweat through my shirt and my backup shirt.

He sure is! I saw him last year and had a blast. I also saw Feadz, and was impressed by his skills as well, but I only saw him play for 15 minutes or so, so I can't really compare.
