Seems like a promising mix! What's the name of the track at ~13:05?

EDIT: or better yet, a full tracklist would be swell. Too many good tunes in there!

Thanks.

John Digweed is coming. Do I go? The only thing I've ever listened to of his was some 2CD mix he released in 2003 (couldn't find it on Discogs, I remember the cover being purple or brown), and I kind of hated it. My music taste back then, however, was not what I would call good.

Good lord that Happa edit is awful.

The times Ive seen him have been good and you know roughly what my taste is like.. im not sure if that makes my opinion better or worse though aha.

I would go, not necessarily because I like his music but he's very much at the top of his craft. Can't turn down an opportunity to see someone like that, regardless of if you are into what they're playing or not.*

*Obviously there's limits to this, but seeing a "good" progressive DJ just to see their skills is different to seeing a "good" DnB or dubstep or speed garage DJ. At the very most, what you normally are into and what he'll be playing isn't as much of a stretch as those other genres.

Yeah thats pretty much how I looked at it. When I got taken to Hernan Cantenao (christ knows how thats spelt) I just knew he was seen as a really good prog house DJ. Went with 0 expectations and had a great time!

Semi related but How To Dress Well will be back in Philly in March. Definitely gonna go see him again. He was a knockout live. Chills down my spine for the encore too.

And he'll be with Sky Ferreira, who's EP I really liked. She's hottttt too.

Edit: Seeing The XX tomorrow night woooooooo.

Well, he plays a lot different than what he did in 2003... back then it was much more organic, tribal progressive... and now he plays stuff that me and a few others have termed "progno", big-room techno tracks with the occasional progressive flourish. Pig and Dan, Dubfire, Guy Gerber.. that kinda stuff.

His older stuff (Hong Kong Global Underground and MMII in particular) puts him as one of my favorite DJs of all time.. but lately he's been really hit or miss when I've seen him. $20 is a good price too, last time I saw him at a non-festival setting I think I paid like $45 :p

The XX were absolutely stunning last night. Everyone sounded great and they had lots of fun. Were really grateful to the fans for holding on to tickets (show was reschedule back in Oct because of Sandy) and spoke to the crowd quite often.

They played with at least half of their songs. Slightly different structures and beats, and nice interludes by Jamie XX linking different songs together. Dancing all night.

Infinity was turned into a 7 minute heart attack. The light show was insane. They mashed up Reunion and Jamie XX's solo Farer Nearer, and that fucking knocked me out. Favorite moment of the night for me. With Romy and Oliver doing the vocals and Jamie doing the steel drums and kicking up the beats when those came in. Then keeping the music of FN, creeping back into the Reunion chant was just.......hot dammmmmmmmmmn my eyes.

Just an absolutely stunning show. I'd pay to see them again with no hesitation. Did a three song encore too (probably do it every night, as expected).

Jelly! Im hoping they are down to play Glastonbury this year.
They had some live dates over here in London but I couldnt be sure I would be around at the time to make it (or not unemployed and homeless)

Hyped to see Ryan Hemsworth this Friday! first time Ive been out since mid December!
