New Legowelt that just came out on Unknown to the Unknown and is sounding good! Star Gazing for instance is an awesome proto-breakbeat era Techno track with cheesy (but awesome) Star Trek samples.

Star Gazing
Visions In My Mind
Wayfaring Stranger

Nice, was thinking of posting about this one here.

Been listening to a lot of Gifted & Blessed lately. On a similar tip, sounding like vintage Red Planet, BFC / Psyche, UR.

Christ almighty, I think I've rediscovered a genre. Does this kind of stuff still come out regularly and I just haven't been looking, or is it a dying breed of track? By that I mean solid prog, outstanding production, no shitty, cheesy, unnecessary noises... just something to groove along with for a good 7-8 minutes.

Just stumbled across these today:
Stefano Noferini - French Kiss (Original Mix)

and from there, found my way onto these... Paolo Mojo doing the track justice:
Stefano Noferini - French Kiss (Paolo Mojo remix)

A track that's definitely a bit clubbier... but it's *good* clubby. Probably would've been considered "commercial" ten years ago, but not anymore :(
Stefano Noferini - Dollars (Da Fresh remix)

Thinking about those songs, here are some blasts from the past :)
Da Fresh - Fuckin' Track (Muttonheads remix)
Josh Wink - How's Your Evening So Far?
(I would've also listed the Muttonheads remix of Medcab's Dance, but the only version on YT cuts off the entire intro :/)

Lil Louis's original was the first house track I heard. Blew my mind at the time, that friggin' breakdown. Probably my favourite house tune ever, still amazed at how well it holds up.

Da Fresh - Fuckin' Track (Muttonheads remix)

Some bad recording at 1.40 :/

Thanks for the tip! I can't comment on the others, but I know for sure that Campbell is my style, so I'll check it out :)

Can anyone help me? I'm a newcomer to the whole electronic music culture. Not really familiar with the genres.
Recently, I heard this awesome house (I think?) track at the local bar, fired up my SoundHound and got this: Huxley - Box Clever
I need any artists/albums/tracks, anything that resembles this, sounds similar, is the same genre.

Artist: Huxley
Label: 2020Vision Recordings
Release Date: 02/04/2012
Genre: Deep House

A hugely infectious slice of pumping 4x4 house from the man like Huxley, with one of the best uses of a vocal sample this year!

In the video description.

Off the top of my head try:
Dusky
Eats Everything
Juilo Bashmore
Justin Martin (well most of Dirty bird label)
Maya Jane coles
Seth Troxler/Jamie Jones

Sure others can give you more

Krystal Klear
Detroit Swindle (more retro house)
Bicep (same, but some funk new disco too)
Ejeca
Breach/Midland
Tigerskin
Frank B (only has 1 song out but its a stunner)
Scuba (not really strict house plays around with a ton of styles....my favorite producer hands down....try Adrenaline/DSY CHN/Never)
George Fitzgerald
Hot Since 82
Julio Bashmore
XXXY (modern house and.....dunno whats its called. maybe uk funk/bass whatever
Jacques Greene (mostly same as above....one of the best producers around. Huge talent for melody/atmosphere/romance)

Edit: Waze & Oddysey
Citizen kinda

You have good taste in music and good taste in F1 drivers. I will gladly help out! Not necessarily stuff that may be in the same specific genre, but more "if you like this, you'll probably like this" sorta thing:

Maceo Plex/Maetrik
Miguel Campbell
Andre Crom
Piek & Efron
And some of Tube & Berger's stuff.
Jacques Greene was mentioned as well, but out of the tracks I've heard of his, the one I linked to was the only one I really liked (and I suspect our tastes are fairly similar).

There's probably a wider variety of artists I could list, but I need to be able to hear the music to verify it'd fit in with what you're looking for, and I'm at work with crappy work speakers :(

I'm around if anyone wants to jam.

Also, Shaneus, sorry for being a snappy cunt the other day. I was extraordinarily hungover and inside an insanely full and hot bus station waiting for a delayed bus. Not the most fun experience, I can assure you.

That's okay! You can rest assured that whenever I look like I'm having a go at someone, it's either completely in jest or there is a point behind it, but it's nowhere near as aggressive and pointed as I make it out to be.

Except regarding dubstep and trap. Fuck that shit.

:D

@Johnlenham, gdt, Shaneus - thank you very much guys!!

No problemo! Of course, being a fresh set of eyes, you're bound to come across stuff we haven't... so make sure you hook some brothers up :)
Sure, but don't expect anything soon cause I already have a big playlist to listen to :)

In related news, I am completely smitten with all things DJSmokey666. I blame my complete lack of work etiquette and BLAM LORD FEVER.

Ah this is more in line with injurai and thabiz's taste. Well here it is:
