My internet cut out at 9:30, so that's my bad. Time Warner is the single worst company I've ever dealt with. It's being fixed as we speak, so I'm game for tonight.

edit: fuck, the dub night is at Le Poisson Rouge. The sound there is awful, it's going to be a night of nauseating reverb... worth it, though, I guess.

Dont go nuts. unless your running club speakers, any stereo receiver will do the job.

Not all stereo receivers come with phono preamps. Magnetic cartridge inputs are much lower compared to anything else you are going to connect, got to make sure you have the amperage to raise the volume to acceptable dance levels.

I had the pleasure of seeing Lee Perry in Kingston, JA. I couldnt breathe the bass was so strong. Its def worth it regardless of the venue. Im sure hes bringing his own sound system. He usually does.

Glad you enjoyed it! Xinobi and Mr. Mitsuhirato are two of my recent discoveries. They're both from Lisbon and are part of a label called D.I.S.C.O.Texas, and they make some generally funky tracks. Too bad they don't seem to perform in the US much.

Edit: Oh you can also lump Moullinex in with those two names, and he's on the same label.

Some fairly sweet stuff there for d'n'b heads and junglists (Dillinja & Lemon D, Shy FX & Gunsmoke, Origin Unknown's 'Valley of the Shadows' is a classic, Ed Rush & Optical, Ricochet is a huge one...). Fine tunes. There is indeed a bunch of crap there, too.
