I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I don't think so. It's like it's 'glued' (figuratively) to the BPM. The pitch fader works (so I can change the BPM to the other songs BPM) but I can't 'adjust' it by speeding/slowing it down temporary manually so the beat actually matches. I'll capture it with some capture device so I can demonstrate. Hang on for a moment!

Edit:

Here is a video showing the problem

For the first 7 seconds I am not touching anything, it's just playing. After 7 seconds you can see my finger moving to the jog wheel and turning it up (speeding it), You can see the BPM acting weird, like it's glued to 145 BPM, it won't go up. At around 15 seconds I took my finger of it).

(Yeah there is only one song playing right now, but it's just to show the problem, sync button is NOT active).

Oh yeh, I see. Thanks for posting that. Unfortunately I have no idea what the matter is, it obviously recognises the input. Can't even tell if it's a hardware or software issue. Is it the same on both jog wheels?

Sorry I can't help, hopefully others can.

key lock maybe? I dont recall that ever being on when I use it.

Ha well he has a shed load of them but theres not many that grab me like those.
I like his new one Strandbar aswell.

After like 1-2 hours of trying everything and I re installed the program, somehow the bug(?) is gone now! It works fine now. Thanks a lot though!

And yeah, Strandbar is cool, especially the Disko version.

I didn't actually remember to look it up (I should have... at home I have a sizable collection of his stuff, mostly re-edits) but if I had to pick one, I'd say this is my favourite (again, without looking at a list):
clicky
He didn't play it when I saw him, unfortunately :(

Mmmmm new Dense and Pika. The stuff they've released on their own label has been stellar, while the Crispy Duck EP they put out on Hotflush was just ok. Hopefully this new Hotflush EP is more like the former(s).

I always wonder why anyone would de-activate the sync button on a midi controller.

If you want to beatmatch medieval style, buy a set of CDJs/Technics ! ;-)

On another note, this is brilliant :

Seems I can still kind of mix abit.. shame theres a few time where I mixed in great and then got stuck for a way out lol DaftPunk Da funk was like "shiiiiit how the hell do I mix out of this" haha

I thought about putting it up so people could give me loads of pointers but it turned out to be an hour and twenty mins long.
Atleast I wont have to worry about not being able to play for long on friday.

Edit: Maybe not, there are some proper sketchy mix ins aswell ;(

"A straight up, quality dance-off in beautiful surroundings," says Fuzzy director, John Wall "That’s what Listen Out is.”
"A stand still, boring, chin-stroking hipster-fest in an area perfect for overdosing on G with people you barely know but whose opinion you still care way too much about," says NeoGAF member, Shaneus "That's what Listen Out is."

PS. Parklife was pretty shit in general anyway. First one I went to was awesome, second one I went to was far too overcrowded and whilst the music was still good... not good enough to get over the crowd. The rest had very, VERY shitty lineups. So this just sounds like a cash-in. Cynical? You bet.

Four Tet let his followers know he finished his new album, stating: "I do hope to get it out this year...it's the best album I've made"

I loved There is Love in You and Pink, so I'm excited!

Haha I found the Intelligent dance music the bit that got me. Only saw it as a friend in melb posted on facebook about it.

That too. Genres for dance music can be mystifying at the best of times, but as soon as I'd heard of IDM and EDM... that's kind of where I got fed up. If one says they like dubstep or ambient or chill or progressive or whatever, I might not like it, but that's cool for them or whatever. But if someone says they like "IDM" or they listen to "EDM" or whatever, THAT'S what shits me, because its such an arrogant terminology (which is why I got so frustrated with the EDM thread).

Listened to it on my commute on Monday morning and really dug it. Was a nice little flashback to my minimal days. Really smooth mixing on your part, nice job!
Who wants to rehost it for me? Because usually people jump at the chance to help me out ;)

Thank you too!

It's been growing on me since every listen, there's one or two small errors in it but overall it turned out great in my own opinion as well. :)

Did I tell you about the time I saw Robag live?

PS. If you can rehost any or all of those (with the priority being for Robag's set) I'd love you forever.

Lucky ;)

Has Paul Woolford had any big tracks in particular? I know his name really well, but just can't place any tracks that he's done :/

Edit: Erotic Discourse. There you go.

Ejeca's Different Rules EP. A return to a more basic house sound. He rocks this sound so reliably. Both songs are awesome, and the remixes are really solid.

Claptone - Another Night. This guy is incredible.

Krystal Klear - Never Thought You Would Go EP. This is another one of his 80's funk/rnb relases, but this one is easily his best (of his non super housy stuff). Really captures and executes a specific sound/moment in time. Wonderful stuff.

Breach - Jack EP. I'm suuuuuuper late to this but both these songs are fucking fire. No wonder Jack is such a huge hit for him.

No Artificial Colours - Breakfast In Manhattan. Really solid EP. Doesn't come close to their latest, Cryin Wolf (neither did the one before that, the Cat and Mouse EP). Very excited to see what these guys do next.

Holy Other - Held. Need some more time with it. To let it grow on me. I love With U.

South London Ordinance - Transmission Funk. Need more time, but I really dug my one listen.

Velour - Speedy. Like the KK release, this really nails a specific big 80's sound. So fucking good. Some 8bit stuff in the second track too.

My music has grown exponentially recently. anyone else find they can't keep up these days?

I take it slow and plan everything out. I listen to music in rotations a certain number of times, then put it on the shelf and move on the the next rotation (each rotation is about 2-2.5 hours long). One artist release in each rotation (ie, no two Ejeca EPs in one rotation). Feels good to make progress this way.

Part of the reason I really just don't try keeping up anymore. I'm finding more joy in what people are able to do with older tracks a la re-edits, remixes and such. There's still new stuff out there, but I prefer that it finds me either through this thread or hearing it out... that's it.

No re-upload on that Robag mix, guys? :(

Um... where's the IDM? I do actually see a bunch of acts I wouldn't mind checking out, though. Hopefully there's sideshows. Even though his album was a bit samey, Miguel Campbell could be good.

Whats odd aswell is that maybe only 3 or 4 have been around before 2012(ish)
I was expecting stuff off the Dimensions line up the way that article read!
