"the short version of v838 as sketched out for kronos quartet using vst viola, cello and two violins. the epic 10min version will emerge one day..."
Bo En - Miss You
some seriously must have shit for your summer .. It's like this over the top happy pandemonium of japanese commercials, glitchy drums, bird singing, childhood and all. Sounds weird but trust me on this.

Bookmarked it, I'll give it a listen later.Would people mind giving this a listen? I made it a few days ago basically for one friend but its kind of grown on me.
There are a couple of pure train wrecks but there are also a few bits im pretty happy with.
Whether thats because ive re-listened to it about 5 times and become desensitized to how shit it potentially is is why Im asking some outsiders who would ahve no problem tearing it apart
John-Lenham- Night (35mins long)

awesome awesome, what would you call the sorts of house that you listen to btw?
Ehm... In broadest of terms, I'd say its deep house. It's a huge mix of Chicago, New York and acid, really, wish some techno inbetween. I don't really go by genre, just by sound. I like a really deep, funky, spacey vibe, so if a track fits that mold I buy it.
Nice nice, I thought it might be deep house, or maybe minimal. Like I said, I'm mostly getting into house through you. I guess it goes for a lot of us that explore music so passionately that we end up latching onto sounds that fit us. At this point I can tell someone what domain I listen to, but can't convey what it is I will end up liking. Guess music is fun like that.
we def need a session.Oh totally! For me, really, if its weird and I can dance to it, I like it. That's why I like this thread so much, it's a hodge podge of styles. We should really bring back to plug.dj room in the near future!

If there are any forums I should check out please let me know, and then perhaps hardware that would be good to start out with. I would obviously need to use a DAW somewhere along the way, but I would very much like some physical hardware to keep things alive.
.
If you're looking for actual hardware rather than midicontrollers, then I'd recommend getting something relatively cheap (they go up to insane prices).
Korg just released the new 'Volca' Series.
http://www.korg.com/volcaseries
A bass, drummachine and lead synth for about 150$ each.
Microkorg is an another great piece of equipment for efficient price.

Dorian Concept doing some magic with it.

'Novation Ultranova'. My friend has one of these, haven't tried myself but essentially it is a patch synth + modifiable synth as well - does all kinds of sounds from basses to leads.

Hope this helped a bit.
Also, if you're into 303 acid sound, get yourself a x0xb0x, it's the closest clone yet at about 300$.
edit: if you are into more rhythmic stuff - get yourself a Native Instruments Maschine (midi controller MPC type of machine.) or some hardware sampler (forgot the names of the cheaper ones, I'll look them up for you later).
Listening to that... is this the one I commented on sounding like it has different vibes going through the whole track? I vaguely remember making that kind of comment about what I *think* was this track, but could've been another.Shaneus, Recycle Culture finally put that track you were into online for purchase along with an equally awesome A-side:
House of Surreality/Meet Her at the Blood Parade

Just going through Boiler Room at work and came across this again.
Sick 45mins of garage
DJ EZ Boiler Room
I think he breaks the cross fade at one point, Cant even keep up with how fast his hands move at some points.
That guy on the left is easily the most awkward dancer I have seen in a while.
