What is the name of the youtube stream from Europe, similar to Boiler Room but less mainstream? Plays lots of Chicago juke and has trippy visuals over a green screen?

Visionist - Snakes

Johnlenham, get on it.
I found out this person has a few tunes on Key sound recordings
Keysound Recordings Present: This Is How We Roll
01. Visionist, Beneath & Wen - New Wave
02. Beneath - PVO
03. Samrai - Hear Me Now
04. Visionist - Dangerous
05. Wen - Commotion VIP
06. Double Helix - LDN VIP
07. Epoch - The Steppenwolf
08. Dusk + Blackdown feat. Farrah - Lonely Moon (Android Heartbreak drumz remix)
09. Fresh Paul - Blaster
10. Mumdance & Logos - In Reverse
11. Gremino - Monster VIP
12. Rabit - Satelite
13. E.m.m.a. - Peridot
14. Moleskin - Burst

Rabit on that list really caught my eye so I had to go back and listened to that Visionist song that I skipped. Looks like this is a Grime playlist?

Anyways that Snakes is pretty massive. I'll have to check out the rest of this collaboration.

Its like this little genre appearing, Its like stuff at 130, with grime vocals all chopped about and stuff. Im liking it alot.
A post of mine abit further up has a few tunes in it relating.

I've posted it before, but Big Dada Sound has an ongoing series called Grime 2.0, and it's all incredible.

Inkke Mix is my favorite

a lot of the dark techno seems to be making its way into grime.
Really? Techno is my least followed genre but some examples would be good!

Nice, will check it out!
Im attempting to upload a mix I was really happy with, till I hit the fucking cue button on the wrong deck.. Should have just wheeled it and restarted the tune but I was livid lol

Anyways its like 15mins long and has some stuff you both might like. Ill post back when I manage to get it online..

i have an internship up here and im staying in aurora but i plan on coming down toronto for the weekends, is footwork bar any good?

footwork is good. one of the few underground clubs left. have seen some legendary sets there. its small, so get there early. stay away from the big clubs. its all douchebags and bottle service, and they rarely book anyone worth seeing. theres also a bunch of good bars and clubs in the west end of downtown which i think would be more your speed. theres some fantastic local dj's that are always worth checking out.

If you need help getting around or where to go, shoot me a pm.

Groundbreaking Electronic-GAF, I need your help! I'll be traveling through Europe by trains for dozens of hours soon, and it would probably be nice to have some fresh music. So I am looking for some good mixes / dj sets, such as Boiler Room, Essential Mixes or even mixes by some people here themselves. Preferably (underground) house / garage / deep house / (nu-)disco-y.

A few sets I have enjoyed, to give a impressions what kind of music: Bonobo Boiler Room (<3), SBTRKT essential mix, Photek essential mix, Jamie XX essential mix, Azari & III essential mix, Breach Essential Mix, Duke Dumont essential mix, Dusky essential mix, Todd Edwards essential mix and Jaques Lu Cont essential mix (I have listened way more, but these were my favorites).

What I already have ready: Four Tet boiler room, Todd Terje essential mix and John-Lenham- Night (35mins long).

Give me your best sets!

e: in return, I'm giving you this great song:
Wookie ft. Eliza Doolittle - The Hype.

I like you already.

My favourite EMs (and one's I've listened to more than once) are:
Greg Wilson 2009 (I think, maybe 2007)
Adam Freeland 2004 (seriously, it's educational as well as epic to listen to)
Silicone Soul 2005 (deep, grooving house... surprisingly well done set, possibly my favourite)
Dimitri from Paris 2011 (for super laid-back disco vibes)
and this mix from Phonat is *incredible* if you love your funky, Frenchy house (it also introduced me to this dancefloor killer)

I'm also gonna get this Boiler Room set from Mic Newman. Only had a quick flick through, but it sounds pretty damn nice. Is there a legit place to download BR sets from? Like, direct stream recordings rather than just YT rips?
Edit: Never mind :/

This is great. I haven't heard of the first three names, I'm always eager to learn new artists. And yeah Dimitri from paris is great, I didn't knew he had a essential mix. I'll download all your recommendations and give them a listen. I'm also a sucker for French House, so that sounds good! Thanks!

The last hour I've been searching the internet, I've also downloaded Eats Everything EM, Apparat, Jamie Jones, Huxley and Bicep boiler room sets (they are downloadable from the site). I'm still looking for more though! I have to kill those train rides!

And no, there isn't an official download for the Essential Mixes. I've seen a few mixes that were downloadable by the artist themselves (Nero for example, it's even the unedited version without the radio host and it's also a really cool mix..), most of them are rips though.

Crazy night... My company just opened up a new restaurant space in Brooklyn, and had a party today that I worked. My bosses normally only ever play shit like Grateful Dead and whatnot, so the opening DJ was this little Asian girl playing some disco and classic rock. She gets off, some other guys get on and continue for a while. Go talk to Asian girl, it's Nancy from Juan Maclean/LCD Soundsystem. Not two seconds later, Questlove walks in with his personal DJ who proceeds to get on the decks and do a *sick* disco/deep house set for the rest of the party. Just unbelievable, such good selections all night. To all you NYC-ers, and those near here, I'll be a resident DJ there for a while so you'll have to come say hey some time ;D

No fucking shit, that's awesome! The company you work for must be rolling in cash. Did you get to play at all? Or set up some recording device to the line-out and hide it somewhere? ;)

Well, they are, kind of. However, questlove was invited there by Nancy and he just brought his dj with him, he wasn't even hired to play. I spent more time at the party dancing than I did actually working.

And, no, no recording happened :p I have a short video I'll update in the am. I'm beat (and smashed.)

Woo! Knock up a mix at home while you're still able. Smashed mixes am best mixes.

Sounds like a fucking awesome night. I'd've shit my pants when she mentioned she was in LCD Soundsystem.
I never saw what was so good about LCD. I think I missed some kind of boat or banded wagon.

Any idea what kind of stuff Evian Christ and and Fatima Al Qadri might play on a DJ set?
They are playing at something on Friday but I really have no clue how their stuff would translate to a club night.

What restaurant is this? I'll make sure to swing by sometime. I was actually in Bushwick on Saturday for the block party, except it got shut down by the cops right as we got there. We drifted around a few bars for a while, then ended up at a friend's rooftop in the Lower East Side where we just blasted deep house until the wee hours. Fun stuff.
