Just Jam is a internet show out of London ala Boiler Room.
What is the name of the youtube stream from Europe, similar to Boiler Room but less mainstream? Plays lots of Chicago juke and has trippy visuals over a green screen?
No one ever links me songs! woo! shame the Internet at home is fucked.
Sounding big from the 30 seconds I can load. Cheers

Keysound Recordings Present: This Is How We Roll
Rabit on that list really caught my eye so I had to go back and listened to that Visionist song that I skipped. Looks like this is a Grime playlist?
Anyways that Snakes is pretty massive. I'll have to check out the rest of this collaboration.
Its like this little genre appearing, Its like stuff at 130, with grime vocals all chopped about and stuff. Im liking it alot.
A post of mine abit further up has a few tunes in it relating.

Really? Techno is my least followed genre but some examples would be good!a lot of the dark techno seems to be making its way into grime.
I've posted it before, but Big Dada Sound has an ongoing series called Grime 2.0, and it's all incredible.

I like you already.Jaques Lu Cont essential mix
This is great. I haven't heard of the first three names, I'm always eager to learn new artists. And yeah Dimitri from paris is great, I didn't knew he had a essential mix. I'll download all your recommendations and give them a listen. I'm also a sucker for French House, so that sounds good! Thanks!I like you already.
My favourite EMs (and one's I've listened to more than once) are:
Greg Wilson 2009 (I think, maybe 2007)
Adam Freeland 2004 (seriously, it's educational as well as epic to listen to)
Silicone Soul 2005 (deep, grooving house... surprisingly well done set, possibly my favourite)
Dimitri from Paris 2011 (for super laid-back disco vibes)
and this mix from Phonat is *incredible* if you love your funky, Frenchy house (it also introduced me to this dancefloor killer)
I'm also gonna get this Boiler Room set from Mic Newman. Only had a quick flick through, but it sounds pretty damn nice. Is there a legit place to download BR sets from? Like, direct stream recordings rather than just YT rips?
Edit: Never mind :/

The last hour I've been searching the internet, I've also downloaded Eats Everything EM, Apparat, Jamie Jones, Huxley and Bicep boiler room sets (they are downloadable from the site). I'm still looking for more though! I have to kill those train rides!
And no, there isn't an official download for the Essential Mixes. I've seen a few mixes that were downloadable by the artist themselves (Nero for example, it's even the unedited version without the radio host and it's also a really cool mix..), most of them are rips though.
No fucking shit, that's awesome! The company you work for must be rolling in cash. Did you get to play at all? Or set up some recording device to the line-out and hide it somewhere?Crazy night... My company just opened up a new restaurant space in Brooklyn, and had a party today that I worked. My bosses normally only ever play shit like Grateful Dead and whatnot, so the opening DJ was this little Asian girl playing some disco and classic rock. She gets off, some other guys get on and continue for a while. Go talk to Asian girl, it's Nancy from Juan Maclean/LCD Soundsystem. Not two seconds later, Questlove walks in with his personal DJ who proceeds to get on the decks and do a *sick* disco/deep house set for the rest of the party. Just unbelievable, such good selections all night. To all you NYC-ers, and those near here, I'll be a resident DJ there for a while so you'll have to come say hey some time ;D

Woo! Knock up a mix at home while you're still able. Smashed mixes am best mixes.Well, they are, kind of. However, questlove was invited there by Nancy and he just brought his dj with him, he wasn't even hired to play. I spent more time at the party dancing than I did actually working.
And, no, no recording happened I have a short video I'll update in the am. I'm beat (and smashed.)
I never saw what was so good about LCD. I think I missed some kind of boat or banded wagon.Sounds like a fucking awesome night. I'd've shit my pants when she mentioned she was in LCD Soundsystem.
Any idea what kind of stuff Evian Christ and and Fatima Al Qadri might play on a DJ set?
They are playing at something on Friday but I really have no clue how their stuff would translate to a club night.
goodness
