I'm not sure HB would be up your alley, to be honest -- that's not a dig against you, just an assumption going on tastes throughout the thread :) His stuff is wild and can often sit pretty far into outlier techno. I mean, there's probably a reason the Wire is hosting that download instead of, say, Resident Advisor. Give some of his stuff a shot if you're feeling adventurous, though!

There is at-least one miss fire on a track, jolt of the pitch slider and one or two real clangers. I also feel like I ride a blend and it over stays it welcome haha. Still one or two times I was air punching.

I tried but my work pc is just melting under the pressure to load the video haha. I did mean the Avery guy though!

Techno is a really weird one for me.
In my head, whenever anyone talks about it and I read the word, Acid Badger starts playing in my head and ughhh god that makes my skin crawl.
Like it is just relentless drums and I just dont seem to get on with it, could be Im just narrow minded in my view of the stuff though!

I don't listen to a lot of this kind of trap(ish) music, but damn I enjoyed this more then I expected. He's also doing a dj set 10 mins (walking) away from my home in 2 weeks (just found out by accident)... $10, might go see him after this mix.

Funny, glancing at that review, glad I wasn't the only one who had the same thought on Drone Logic (the track):
In an interview with RA, Avery expressed admiration for Paul Woolford's classic "Erotic Discourse," and much of Drone Logic has that tune's mix of the off-kilter and the easily accessible.

Daniel Avery is good...just didn't like his stuff as much as i thought i would. Some great songs here and there though.

Never really got into actress, found his last album really boring but I probably didnt give it much of a chance.

Four Tet last night was sick, He plays all kinds of BPM and Genres and does it really weel. Wenu Wenu made the place explode haha
