Going to Awakenings Festival this saturday, (one of the) biggest outdoor techno festivals in the world. The line-up:
I'm thinking about seeing Dj Rush, Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Blawan, Sven Vaith, Ben Klock, Jonas Kopp & Gary Back, Dabriel Amanda & Dominik Eulberg and Max Cooper.
Any yay or nay's? Or other tips what I should go see? I've also read extremely good things about Sven Väith as well for example. Big fan of energetic / darker techno. Would love some recommendations or stuff to avoid.

i think theyre more of a dj ting then putting out music, skycell was great and the Na xtreme tremble ep are the best things they put out recently.
wish more peeps would give night slugs/ f2m a shot so itd be easier to catch their shows outside of london/ L.A. respectively, i can see how its a lil too left field for some peeps tho
Been listening to EDM for awhile now, mostly Nervo, Hardwell, Dirty South, Swedish house mafia,Michael Woods, Morgan Page etc.
I been to Infusion Lounge on Broadway but the DJ was fucking up a lot that night. Last event I went was at the Boiler House by the Marina in Richmond. Some of my co workers said Ruby Skye is OK, never been their myself.

My friends throw an event in the upstairs lounge every fourth Friday (so this week). Its more Prog House/Techno than what is typically in the main room. They usually have a guest list if you are interested, you can go into the whole club.
Vessel might be your scene as well.
If you ever want to check out a more underground scene I recommend everywhere thezerofire mentioned. If you dig techno you really should check out the Nocturnal Code undergrounds.

I'm trying to listen all types EDM, some of the artist you guys posted are really good. Techno is ok and I like a lot of trance and progressive house too. I might might try one of those clubs thezerofire mentioned.

Just had a scan through this. Quite a breadth in sound when compared to something like the Sandwell District mix, also the tracks have a decent amount of time to breathe, which was a huge negative on the Sims mix. Not quite hammer and tongs techno either, lots of dewy analogue stuff.
