This was fucking great. Scuba's "Hope" is so fucking good, damn.

First time I have seen an underground producer create a mixtape promoting a video game.

Kingdom of Fade to Mind for Complex. It has tracks by Kingdom, Nguzunguzu, Fatima Al Qadri and more.

The Darkness II
I like Kingdom and I really like Nguzunguzu, I'm checking this out today.

Yeah Hope is turning into my Swims/Mercy song as in one that allways makes me move in some way when it comes on!
Listened to that mix like four times today.

Trying to blag my way onto the guestlist for the Scuba album launch tomorrow night but I doubt Ill actually get on!

Do not listen to this track if you are high. IF will scare the shit out of you. I nearly shit my pants.

So fucking gooood.

Blawan - BOHLA

I've had this on rotation for months and it does not get old. "Kaz" and "Bohla" slaaaaaaay! Bummer about his latest single, but it's just a small misstep. He makes such simple and effective music, it's really amazing.

Been really enjoying the stuff I've heard from John Talabot the last two days:

Daft Punk is currently working on their forthcoming album in collaboration with singer-songwriter Paul Williams and with possible contributions by Chic frontman Nile Rodgers. Williams mentioned the collaboration in two separate interviews.[39][40] During an interview with Rodgers, he stated that he would meet with Daft Punk to discuss the duo's upcoming album.[41]

HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS

Shlohmo has really hit a sweet spot.

This works for me on so many levels.

Rained the whole time
Just incredible!

Edit: Oh yeah to contribute to the thread with some local goodness, Spleen United just released their 3rd album, School of Euphoria after nearly 5 year hiatus. Although they've gone in a more 'pop' direction, it's pretty much a big mix of rock, synth, pop, electro and acid. I would say that the vocals and the production is an accuired taste, but they have defintely won me over again this time.

After attempting to find some more artists that I would like, I got bogged down in dozens of sub-genres (Ishkur's guide was intimidating to say the least). Now that my head hurts, I'll ask you fine people for some recommendations instead.

Generally speaking, I'm looking for some instrumental (or at least light on the vocals) trance music. I love gradual buildups to powerful or uplifting conclusions. Here are three songs that I already love:

Chordplay (Oliver Smith)
Evolution (Child of Eden soundtrack)
Imagine (Armin Van Buuren)

If this post is too vague or general to respond to, let me know and I'll attempt to explain myself better :p

I will tweet EVR and see if they can come up with a copy.

That is the new ranking system, so fire!

Kindred released over twitter tonight. Buy the digital copy on Hyperdub.

@joelparrett if anyone wants to follow me. I will follow you!

That list is nowhere near a good indicator of the sort of year we had in dance music. Skrillex winning it takes the cake.

Oh, the only way Raise Your Weapon should've been nominated is if Madeon's remix was listed. On that note, a little surprised that Madeon's Pop Culture didn't get nominated, but seeing as it's not actually a released track... I guess that doesn't help :/

Nice!!
Oh snap! That Ifan guy has a song used in a Jamie XX mix which i thought was either Jamie XX's or James Blake. Mental! Does he have an Ep or anything?

What in the fuck do they look like? jesus. Sounds good though.
