What's the budget for this game? It must be astronomical.
isnt rad a smallish team? like 80 or something.

Where ma soft body physic destruction RAD?![]()
I remember hearing everything could be destroyed and featured soft body physics.
I'm on my way to downloading this B roll footage, but has there been any destruction shown at all?
I think they're closer to 100 now but they were around 80 for a while. This probably didn't cost all that much more than a Sucker Punch game. Similar sized studios.isnt rad a smallish team? like 80 or something.
This looks damn good. I am wondering how this combat mechanic would bePlayed it also and can second this.
I just want to see how detailed the more open areas are and how this actually plays.

I can almost guarantee QTEI could see this going in the direction of dark souls without blocking, so basically bloodborne![]()
Regardless of whether it's a glitch or not, it's a nice catch!![]()

I will be so happy if it is played like BloodborneI could see this going in the direction of dark souls without blocking, so basically bloodborne![]()
Well, as long as it doesn't turn out like this, I am okay with thatI can almost guarantee QTE
Considering every single gameplay footage we've seen so far (including the ones they've specifically chosen to release) has included copious amounts of QTEs... er "cinematic gameplay moments".... I'm not sure why you would expect otherwise.really. so your bright idea is that rad after taking so much flak for qtes that they had their own30+ min gameplay demo is going to go up on stage at psx and say teasing new gameplay and tease a friggin qte ...

This man gets it.Just from looking at it you can see several cuts have been made to hide the parts where you choose to press a QTE, there's really no other reason for it to have so many missing frames.

Maaannn, people going insane over the visuals in this footage.
Just wait until February and you see some real setpieces.
Do the pots and pans get dents and or holes in them when they are being shot? I cant tell on my mobile.

Dont see how its any different from picking locks or hacking terminals in countless other games. There still seemed to be way too many moments where the player isn't doing anything except holding a controller and moments that did require input that were not very interesting. I hope they know what they are doing because to me it looks like it could have done with some outside feedback during development. I still can't get over they have finicky lock picking mini games which are about as fun and interesting as pathological haemorrhoids.
February feels like it's so far away. This stuff is absolutely astounding to look at.

Did you notice all the quick cuts to black in that sequence? My guess is that was done to hide the QTE prompts.Looked so fluid and was without button prompts, though. All the other footage that showed QTEs also showed button prompts.
Also why would they make a special melee combat announcement if its only QTEs?
But why would they do that? They haven't hidden the fact that there's QTEs in this game before. I'm guessing it's similar to some of the up close melee segments in GoW Ascension where you dodge and attack when there's an opening.Did you notice all the quick cuts to black in that sequence? ^ Perhaps after all the QTE backlash
I can't tell for sure what sort of gameplay it is from that though.
I don't understand!
Good point. But then I wonder, why would they show this scene only to blatantly hide a potentially new and interesting gameplay mechanic? I don't know, but based on what I've seen so far, I'm going to assume that it's just more QTE.But why would they do that? They haven't hidden the fact that there's QTEs in this game before. Then why keep showing QTE's elsewhere?

Which games? More to the point in which games were they interesting or fun and do you think the lock picking mini games in The Order look interesting or fun? Using your logic they should throw in some rage inducing escort missions and an underwater section with shit controls because they are "in countless other games".
beat me to it![]()
best looking video game ever.
it looks like straight ps2 era cg. so good.
Ok maybe not COUNTLESS other games but Oblivion, Skyrim, Deus ex games, Splinter Ceill, Kingdoms of Amalur, System Shock, Mass Effect,Thief games, Watchdogs, Warframe and more that have some sort of lockpicking or hacking. I just dont think any of them are as bad as "pathological haemorrhoids".Which games? Currently studying History at university and have been a fan of the zombie genre since Resident Evil 2, so when I first heard about this game and how it would be mixing history and zombies, I knew it had to be good! The footage looks great, can't wait to see more and maybe get my hands on it soon after it releases!
