The Order: 1886 Delayed Into 2015. [Stop talking about MS lineup]

Sony Mouthpiece said:
I’m sure you heard from [SCE Worldwide Studios boss] Shu [Yoshida] that he has – just his studios – he has 30 games in development. 20 of them are going to ship within the first year of the console’s life, and of those, 12 are new IP.

so how's it coming?

This possibly means 2 things.

1. Uncharted should be coming this year, Sony dont really have anything else (that I can think of) besides driveclub.

2. 2015 is going to be year of SONY if no order/uncharted/other first parties this year (besides the ones slated already like driveclub)

Dunno if that has anything to do with the delay. Though the game looked like derivatve shooter #43 from the get go to me, ever since the E3 reveal, I honestly don't see what people were expecting.

Yeah it's a joke.

Hope destiny is still on track though. Given how much walk through footage we've received, I'm not in high hopes for that either.

I'm scared about Ready at Dawn statement, look how Watch Dogs ended up after the delay...Did they really improved the game or were they running out of time?

Having said the above, it could be a great game, no doubt.

Can't disagree here, that's pretty damn true.

Not in the slightest. This:

The PS3 caught up thanks to its very strong global presence. All those exclusives did next to nothing for them in NA where the 360 manhandled it. Even with TLOU, the 360 still came on top. Want to guess what finally put the PS3 ahead for a month? GTA5, a multiplat

is the real reason. Exclusives are going away as the "end all, be all" to console gaming. The number one best sellers this holiday season are going to be multiplats, which for this generation will be better and advertised more so by Sony (AC, Destiny, etc.). Hardcore gamers will lament over this, but in reality, this amounts to a fart in the wind for casual gamers looking t hp on board the next gen train. Still won't stop the insane hyperbole in this thread though.

Watch Dogs isnt fair. Wait for Driveclub to come and see how good the extra time was for it.

Regardless, 2015 is shaping up to be a massive year for Sony.

Maybe they want to implement support for Project Morpheus.
Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 had 3D-support, why not The Order?

I thought the issue with the latter years of the 360 was games weren't being made, not that games were being delayed 6 months?

I'm talking about people saying "so what, third -parties!"

Also, MS did release games, both retail and digital. People didn't like those either because they were rehashes or sequels. Look, the point I'm making is that fanboys are fickle in what they actually believe in. Any mega-thread about games on the internet is fifty percent hyperbole it seems. List wars were born from a need to flex about exclusives. Last gen showed that. Smaller games didn't count then, smaller games don't count now. Third-party didn't matter then, third-party doesn't matter now. These points get repeated by diehards but, like I said, the factions clinging to those ideas swapped. Just a humorous observation is all as I'll have plenty to play so if they need to finish their game so be it.

They should apaologize to shinobi for shitting on him when he said it on twitter and they replied "couldn't be further from the truth"

so how's it coming?

Slated for 2013/2014 release:

1. Knack
2. Resogun
3. Doki-Doki Universe
4. Driveclub
5. CounterSpy
6. Helldivers
7. Hohokum

And the following were probably initially penned for a 2014 release, but got delayed:

8. Order 1886
9. Rime
10. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
11. (Unannounced)
12. (Unannounced)

As for old IPs...

13. Killzone : SF
14. MLB : :The Show
15. inFamous : SS
16. Shadow of the Beast (probably delayed as well)
17. TLoU Remastered
18. Uncharted (probably delayed, or bullshit announcement)
19. Singstar
20. (Unannounced)

Well, I hope they take the time to actually show a game I want to play and not just Gears setpiece number 3213.

Also you have what, 6 extra months? Get rid of that fucking letterbox.

Don't believe his lies.

So basically for Soony titles you should add around 6 months to the announced release date to be safe.

Soony and MS seemed to have swapped around...

Although I wasn't exactly taken with this specific game, I am worried about what this means for games going forward. Is this a trend? What are the specific non-bullshit (Menu's??) reasons for the delays? Is the PS4 harder to develop for than what was stated? Are they just writing off the hardcore buyers and 2014 as a whole? They want a bigger install base to release games to? Are the Soony QA team bringing things to a halt? How are they making these decisions, Shu playing them and deciding they aren't good enough? Are we only going to get games that appeal to Shu now? Would killzone have got delayed if it wasn't a launch title due to "a lack of polish"?

You forgot your tinfoil hat.

i was iffy on this game even though i wanted to play it, i'm sure it needs more time. Downside...there's not much to play on ps4 and it's losing another game this year.

How can they delay games that never had a date?

Yeah, but Ubi started with a E3 video on a top-of-the-line PC, with current top-of-the-line PCs unable to achieve parity, so Ubi was just bullshitting us in the first place.

It looks... strange.

Would be funny if we are indeed a major influence on Sony now and they delayed it after our negative reaction earlier this year lol

Not to toot our horns or anything but if I was a Dev and wanted to see what gamers think of my game I would send into GAF.

We give an (Brutally) honest but most importantly varied opinion of games which I am sure Devs read.

DelayStation 4

Greatness waits.

this is a meme, but is becoming more real day after day in terms of PS4 esclusives...
good for me that I'm actually planning to buy one for Xmas 15. for that day there will be enough exclusive games to justify it to me.
So if they exploit the delay to refine the game, I'm ok with this.

How can they delay games that never had a date?

Assumption that it was probably planned to be released this year.

If Sony at E3 announces X amount of new games planned to release this year for PS4, then I'll rewrite it, but right now, I'm putting it out there on the assumption that everything announced by Sony thus far had intention of being released within year one, as they haven't even hit their 20 mark.
