How many of the 20 first year first party exclusives has been released so far?

edit:
Never Mind I see someone already asked this.

Not really - he just copied another tweet from someone else. Gotta love those faux-siders - they manage to fool quite a few people.

How so. He hinted at a delay before it was announced. He said there will be a preview and new footage today last week which there is, he also said RAD don't know of the tease by Sony last friday ---> https://twitter.com/AndreaPessino/status/469893572586905600

Everything he said so far about The order came out to be true.

Pretty horrible first year lineup for PS4 if they don't announce anything at E3. Not that I regret buying the console (I got it for 50€ off price so basically price drop price) but I also have hardly touched the console since January. I hope that Battlefield: cops vs thieves game is this fall though I doubt it.

How didn't this get more love??!

Oh dude come on! People need to drop this line.

I didn't buy a $400 next-gen system to play some lame ass mini-games that would be more at home on my smart phone.

Oh and DriveClub shouldn't even really count towards Sony's Fall 2014 lineup since it was a delayed launch title. How the hell do your development teams have nothing ready for a Holiday season 1 friggin year after launch?
Hahahaha. Oh shit. I feel you bros I don't want no more TI-83 looking games on mah PS4!!!!

they need a new battlefield this year. i doubt dice is ready to drop something and who else works on battlefield other than visceral ?

This is why you don't act idiotically and use 1 measly title as the foundation for your entire Holiday lineup.

What happens if it gets delayed?

Sony should've had 3 big titles for this holiday season. That way, if one gets its release deferred, you're still good.

What the hell happened to Sony's 1st/2nd party development?

No, I didn't. Those are specifically what I was referring to.

I just read your other post, you don't consider Sunset Overdrive anything serious but it's a new IP just like The Order.

A game doesn't need to "light the world on fire" aslong as the product is good.

This delay would help The Order improve to deliver a better experience.

Is this the start of companies getting all their terrible news out the door before E3? I expect we'll hear more bad news in the coming days.

I'm very interested to see what Sony will do at E3. I would have thought this was going to be one of their tentpole Fall 2014 titles.

To be honest, The Order looked kind of rough mechanics-wise, so a delay for polishing will be a good thing.

I keep hearing this posted over and over in the thread.

No offense meant, but to me, it just sounds like a load of nonsense.

Is an extra 4 months or so of development time, really going to make that dramatic of an improvement to the gameplay?

Time like that is sufficient to iron out bugs and refine minor elements. To make substantial gameplay adjustments requires a great deal more time. Personally, I don't think there was anything wrong with the gameplay, I just feel they were showing the wrong elements of the game. Whether or not they game's shortcoming do exist, this delay won't help a great deal IMO.

I can't help but notice this thread about The Order's delay is filled with stuff that has nothing to do with The Order's delay. Get on topic.

The real answer is we don't know for sure.

All in all, they're at 11 now, on track towards 16.

But Shu said 4 of the 11 aren't counted, so if that's the case, they're at 7, on track towards 12.

Just a reminder that this thread is about The Order: 1886 being delayed and not suddenly flailing your arms to point at Microsoft's release schedule to prove who "wins."

Oh, I see I was already beaten to this warning.

Alright they've got to get multiplayer in now. It will increase the longevity of their game and hopefully help bolster its sales.

On one hand, I'd rather they take their time to deliver gamers the game we all want.

On the other hand, I thought this was to be expected. It doesn't surprise me in the least that this game was delayed. If it were closer to being done, we'd have been slammed with info.

I don't expect games to release within a year of an E3 unless they're actually playing the game on-stage.

I don't recall any release year being announced but ok.

They should have had some foresight and hired another developer to make a multiplayer component, they would have had enough time to get both right.

I'm all for making sure your games are ready and polished before you release them, but maybe it would help not to announce new titles when they're still so early in development.

Very disappointed since I was looking forward to it, but I guess there are plenty of 3rd party titles releasing during that period anyway to keep me occupied. Hope it stays as early 2015 instead of pulling another Driveclub.

Maybe like some suspect Sony had really some super tight *release-no-matter-the-state, patch-later* release dates for their games for the case that they were neck to neck with XB1 or selling worse. Now, that they have a comfortable sales cushion, they wan't to give their games the room to be polished more.
That's not to far fetched i think. Console warriors on forums have to scratch one game of their 2014 list (or to put on their lulz Delaystation list) but people are still buying a lot of PS4s (except Japan).

Yeah, would be nice if Rocksteady and any other potential delays would just drop the bomb right now. That way we dont get an amazing e3 trailer that suddenly punches us in the face with a "coming 2015".

Too bad, I was looking forward to playing this this year. Oh well, plenty of other stuff to play in the meantime. RaD can take all the time they need.

Also GAF hyperbole is absolutely ridiculous sometimes.

Thing is though, when is the right time. Look around and you see people screaming that both systems lineups are empty for the next year and a half (so fall 2015) despite E3 being in the next few weeks where most announcements are made.

Then again, I remember someone posting a thread on how releasing a demo 3 weeks before a game was released was too soon. Not sure what people really want.

I'm not too bothered by the delay. I knew what I was getting into when buying both current gen systems, and the next few weeks will hopefully paint a clearer picture on what Sony is doing on both the first party and third party fronts.

I have no issue with them announcing it, but don't give a release date. I don't get why they feel the need to do it all. Just show the game say it's in development and then when the game is a point where you can confidently give a release date, do it then. No need to announced a release window 18 months in advance.

Ehh...I can't say that this game looks overly interesting other than the great tech behind it, but this is definitely a bummer for many PS4 owners.

I guess they'll now try to tout TLOU Remaster as their big game for the year? What a joke.

I'd be reluctant to jump to too many conclusions on that front until after E3. It's *possible* that that's all they have right now, true, but we're also at the stage of the year where there's a bunch of secrets lined up to be revealed, so it's possible they've got something up their sleeve, too.
