Wonder how they're gonna handle this.
Norm's slime character is recurring...
I'm a few minutes behind but IIRC this episode got panned by critics.Wonder how they're gonna handle this.
They just happen to have a boxing ring on the ship?

I don't think that particular bit would've worked well in any episode.I don't think the comedy works well in serious episodes like this...

Why are they going to this cave again I wasn't paying attention?
Not exactly what I expected but not a terrible ending. I just fear that the viewership took a hit because of the schedule change.

That caught me off guard too. I didn't catch how they knew was in that cave.
I didn't really like this episode. I got confused about what moral issue this was trying to mirror from real life once they started talking about circumcision, and I'm not sure what position the story ended on anyway. The main cast was all protesting the sex change, but then it happened anyway. I don't know.
The comedy's still pretty bad, too. Damnit, I want to like this show so bad.
LOL forgot this was on
Caught a little bit of the episode tonight. It seems watchable.

It definitely has it's growing pains but I think so far it's the most "Trek" show I've seen in years
I glad they presented both sides and left the ending ambiguous instead of saying which side was "right"

I'm usually pretty easy on sci fi/fantasy shows, plus I didn't get to see too much.
I think this is exactly what it is. I enjoyed ep2 enough to confidently say that i'm down to enjoy the whole series if it keeps this balance in tone. It feels like its made by people who legitimately love Trek.
Some of ep 3 worked for me and some didn't but I'll admit but I'll admit the biggest laugh I've gotten out of the show so far was when it quickly cut to Malloy after Greyson said, "And now, on to your assertion about male intellectual superiority..."
Is this a hate watch for most of you? Or is there something to this
It's weird. I like 95% of it, but the last 5% is a struggle
Spoiler: that 5% is Seth Macfarlane. I even think with a better actor the jokes might be serviceable. But everything about him is struggle.

I just hope the new slot didn't completely tank the ratings. It was doing well on Sunday.
So is this show worth a watch or is it as bad as initially thought?
Ratings:
E1 Sunday after football: 2.7
E2 Sunday after football: 2.2
E3 Thursday after Gotham: 1.1
At least it did better than Gotham.
I love this show. It feels like missing episodes of TNG or Voyager. lol
This is Measure of a Man combined with any number of Worf episodes. lol
