The Perfect Game Store -OR- What's Wrong With Gamestop

I don't really need gamestop much anymore. I usually go to a local semi-chain of music/dvd/game store (they have 2-3 locations i think). They sell games new at 10% off MSRP, they sell used games really cheap (they price a recent $50 game under 30 for used) and their used games are usually in fantastic condition to boot. Plus they have a rewards card and they typically get even the most obscure atlus games.

Take that scamstop!

Although I do appreciate scamstop selling me a 20GB PS3 in excellent condtion for $370. I've left the console game ghetto! :lol

3) Buys games for 75% of original price

How can people ask for this? It seems like the same people who expect to receive 75% of the original MSRP on trade-ins are the same people whining about used games costing more than 75% of the original MSRP. Most new game prices drop to 75% after 4-8 months, so that means you're asking to get more money back for your used games than the new one sells for. Even if the store gives around this much when the game is new, they better be damn sure they sell those before the price does drop. And if they're not charging 85-90% of the original MSRP (so $50-55 for a game that's $60 new), it's just not worth the hassle of dealing with used products to begin with.

5) Gives you a 10% discount for every extra game you buy at the same time.

Now how the hell do you reconcile that with the above? They'd have to further push used prices down, eliminating any profit. There's no way for the stores to make money with used games under your system.
