I hate to even ask, but do they spoil the MW3 story, or just talk about how it leaked?
Just the leak. Spoiling a game on a podcast before its even released would be a very bad call - its more about how they felt about Kotaku doing the deed, and the impact on Activision's marketing campaign.

Also, regarding the Shao Kahn annoyances: he was definitely a vicious brute of an end boss, but when I looked at the command list, I realized there was a fairly straight-forward way to beat him. Whenever he throws his arrow, hammer, or does a taunt, just press DOWN UP to Teleport behind him. Once in position, use a combo ending in his Lightning move (TOWARDS FORWARD TRIANGLE), which takes priority over all Kahn's moves should he attempt to counterattack. Repeat over and over for the win. No mercy.

I suppose it's still cheap, but I felt rewarded for working that sequence out. It seems they gave us the tools to win consistently, so long as you knew the properties of each move (stun, priority, cancels etc...). I tried the pure projectile route Greg mentioned, but found he could always whip it out faster - and with far more devastating results.

But of course, there's no defending the latency in the online play. It's practically unplayable.

The opening half an hour is high on silliness. Did you all agree to chug a can of Red Bull before starting recording?

Hello and welcome to post # 366 of the Player 1 Podcast thread for Tuesday May 17!

I am your host JEKKI!

with me as always is a man who puts the West in Wild Wild West, Scarecrow!

"watchu talkin bout Willis?!?!"

also with me is man who puts the West in Kanye West, Brandon F!

"whaaat? West doesn't start with F. Don't you mean Fest, like a game fest?"

and last but not least, a man who puts the West in the Riddler, TeethMummy!

"lol! I get it becoz the Riddler has a lot of questions marks... a lot of qWESTions!!"

I'm kidding, CJ does a tremendous job with editing and getting the show up on time!

Having been on a few podcasts, and done a bit of editing, it's astonishing that he's managed it on schedule so well for so many episodes.

Hell yes. I do deserve partial credit for this week's cover--I was goading him mercilessly to do KK Gaga. And, of course, Phil never disappoints.

Tell that to my parents.

They came from a simpler time. Yeah, they put a man on the moon(?), but could they keep Rockman continuity straight? No. This is your generation's burden.

*is just listening now, so is assuming at least 1 person's doing E3* Maximum Fun fans, Jordan Morris and the gamers of My Brother, My Brother, And Me are doing an E3 meetup. CROSSOVER?!

I like Mik, really funny, but not a fan of his audio. Sounds like his mic is under a pillow or something.

That said, great show. CJ complaining about weird shit is one of my favourite things.

I feel like Shane is his only real equal in the "getting worked up about something that matters only to him" department. That's esteemed company, Chris.

It almost sounds like you've got some sort of clipping option turned on. I meant to mention it to you the last time you guested with us.
