Am I the only one that finds the new Walmart Layaway commercials incredibly racist.

I think i have seen 2-3, but they are always a black dude or chick exited about layaway making a comeback.

So... only black people use layaway?

I've seen one with a white woman. She apparently can't afford a board game. Maybe it's two board games. But I know I have seen one.

Another fine effort. Phil has some of the best comic timing of almost any podcaster I know of who's not actually a comedian.

I agree.

I think P1P is one of the funniest podcasts out there. It is definitely the only video game podcast I actually find funny. I think I said it way earlier in the thread but it's still true: P1P makes me laugh as much as any actual comedy podcast.

I love love LOVE P1P.

Was just listening to some old episodes (I started regularly listening late-2007 iirc so missed some shows near the beginning) and given that the WiiU launch is around the corner I thought it'd be interesting to listen to the PS3/Wii launch episode from way back when in November '06. Episode 4 to be specific.

CJ's 'pre-order queue interviews' were hilarious, both as an illustration of the lengths you guys went to when you were a fairly young podcast back in the day plus the hordes of scalpers trying, and failing miserably, to justify wanting to flip PS3's, with some even expecting to be able to Ebay them for $3,000+.

The people who when pressed by CJ clearly had no idea whatsoever about any of the games coming out for the system but claimed to want to keep it were a particular highlight.

Ha! I love that episode, it's one of my favorites that we've ever done. It's surprising too because of how the two systems ended up fairing in the marketplace. I think I'll re-listen to that right now (via the P1P app!).

OMG @ this weeks show !!!!

bwhahahhahahahahahah the singing and the hole show was just FANTASTIC so so so good I laughed so hard in public people where staring at me but I did not care at all I had the time of my life :D:D:D

I took your suggestion and went back to that episode, it's pretty great! It's a very entertaining listen knowing how the next 6 years turned out.

The highlight so far is Phil making a joke about Canada and then immediately jumping to explain himself ("it was a joke!") and apologize for it, as if he had done something terrible. :lol

Frog Fractions

Running time: 1:35:00

Phil doesn't like Dr. Pepper? WTF?

I felt bad about his PC situation, but not anymore. I should have known something was up when he kept name dropping Code Red and never once mentioned the superior Livewire.

frog fractions was hilarious, thanks for mentioning it.

if any part seems to drag on, it's because you're playing it wrong.

it's true. anyone who prefers mountain piss: code hematuria over dr. pepper has serious judgment errors.

Good episode!

I was baffled by how hard you guys find getting stuff of the XBL store, though. Seems to be easier to me on the new dash.

Right one page to games, down one panel to store. LB/RB to get to arcade or demos, for example then choose the latest panel which is the one your cursor starts on...

I did. Still haven't popped it in, though. You can blame Smart As for that. :)

I did start playing Assassin's Creed III Liberation last night, though. It's neat.

I'm still only in sequence 3 on Assassin's Creed Liberation but so far I'd put it on the same level as Resistance Burning Skies.

Yeah, I'm either of a considerably higher opinion on ACL or of a considerably lower opinion of Resistance. Not sure which.

Hey, a new episode hath approached!

Episode 315 (11/05/12) - Reminds Me of a Puzzle

This week! Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Forza Horizon, Need for Speed Most Wanted, One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Zone of the Enders HD Collection, Metal Gear Solid Revengeance (demo), Assassin's Creed III Liberation, Smart As and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Plus! Wreck-It-Ralph, pre-release reviews, Ed Semrad stories, and more!

Mike will play any brain training/genius affirmation game but hates-on Layton. Hmm.

Layton is a world of anger, double-speak, and outright lies. That Professor is a dick.

Generation 16 is quite enjoyable

Episode 007 is coming along quickly - much faster than any previous episode. I already have almost all of the script written and video captured.

Of course...Halo, Forza Horizon and Sticker Star are promising to slow production a tiny bit.

It should remind you of a puzzle.

(I don't hate the Layton games at all. But I do prefer a little less obfuscation in my brain teasers. Just give me the puzzle!)

"Why do we care about that?"
"Because it has the cement factory stage!"
"You mean the pie factor-"
"NO!"
