I bought Earthbound because I misunderstood the guide implementation, I thought you could just have it up on the pad and use it that way. Seemed like a cool novel feature that I wanted to check out. Guess it doesn't work that way?

Nope. You can have your current gameplay screen (just a still) up on the TV while you browse on the gamepad. Which is good if you're looking at map locations in Super Metroid or somesuch. And you could always browse the guide from a different device since it's just a website. But no, you can't have the running game up while browsing.

Tally me banana killed me. I nearly had a full-on guffaw at work today. To be honest this felt like the best episode of P1P in I dunno how long.. Chemistry, humor, timing, rhythm were all excellent. So awesome, so funny.

I know it was mentioned that is was getting a little off the rails cause mik wasnt there, I dunno if it's just cuz it was three guys, etc. BTW I am a big mik fan, everything that guy says combined with his deadpan/constantly annoyed delivery is amazing.

Random question - how do you guys produce the podcast? From listening, it sounds like you guys record your own tracks, so do you guys just take separate .wav files and have CJ mash them together in garage band?

Pretty much. CJ usually records a master track (which we'll use as a backup if we have to) that helps him line up the separate recordings. Then there's just a bit of massaging needed for timing as lag tends to creep in and screw up the timing as you get near the end of the show.
