@Polygon
Please welcome @BenKuchera, the new Senior Editor, Opinion at Polygon. bit.ly/1bC9CDi
Haha, should be a fun episode this week![]()
Do they dislike him? I haven't listened to this podcast in a while. Is there a previous episode I should listen to?

the P1P guys are critical of Polygon and the editors in general. They're not big fans of Penny Arcade either so yea, this news is like one special treat.
Yeah he's a great poster. Unfortunately, like Brigadoon, he only shows up for a short while and then is gone.

Correction: Bioshock Infinite doesn't have any MP of any kind.
I actually thought the first DLC was a multiplayer horde mode. That's how much I care about Infinite nowadays.
hah! I had no idea. Like CJ, I barely look to see if there's a multiplayer mode in any shooters nowadays.
Really sorry about that. Two things happened that postponed the talk. The first was that my 18-month old woke from her nap earlier than expected, and I was the only parent in the house at the time, so there was really no way I could expect her to sit still and quiet for the duration of our potential conversation.
That also made us rethink having the conversation at all. One of the great things about the previous Walking Dead season is that all four of us were playing it together, and we were able to put together a super cut of all the spoilercasts and re-release it. We really wanted mik to be a part of that.
I just became a dad about two months ago and already I find myself nodding my head in understanding whenever I hear kid noises in the background.
Nah, I totally understand, it was the episode description that lead me to believe.
I have a 20-month myself so I actually love the baby noises. During the time when CJ, Phil had actually babies (maybe a year or so ago) and there was actually a lot of baby discussion, I actually REALLY got into that side.
It's funny, listening to your podcast for nearly 400 episodes - there's no other entertainment media that I'm more familiar with. It's like I know you guys as good friends or something, but in reality, you have no idea who I am or that I even exist (in some ways).
Incidentally, I imagine the reason CJ has finished a lot of games last year is just not having as much baby stuff to deal with. I know toddlers can be MORE of a handful in the thick of it, but in other ways they're less to deal with and you can manage more time outside of actually looking after them. I seem to recall baby time being super busy even outside the actual time spent with baby (cleaning, preparing, etc), and just sleeping when you got the chance.
I think the thing is that toddlers are more of a handful through the day, but (ours at least) tend to sleep better at night. And that's when I get all my gaming done.
The only whiny baby that I ever hear on the P1P is Phil.
Theo-bait.
Did somebody say Skitchin'?The only whiny baby that I ever hear on the P1P is Phil.
I've kinda stopped listening to the Bombcast over the last few months, so I'm left with a bit of a hole. P1P seems like a worthy replacement.

This is going to sound like a slam, but it isn't intended in that way:
What are other gaming podcasts getting so wrong that P1P is the first choice for many listeners?
It's the only gaming podcast I listen to, for the simple reason that I like all three hosts* and enjoy the peripheral entertainment almost as much as the videogame talk. My other problem is I only have so much room in my "radio listening" rotation, and I really only have room for one gaming podcast these days. But I don't feel like I'm looking for the same thing in a podcast as the average gamer, so I wonder what it is for everyone else...
Used to listen to Weekend Confirmed, but I find Garnett Lee to be pretty much insufferable.
*I don't mind Phil in his role, either.
