I really wish I'd found out sooner about that Totoro poster. Easily my favourite Ghibli film and such an amazing piece of work.

Mondo is hinting at a huge release on Friday. Likely Tron. I think it'll be Tyler Stout Tron cause he said he has a poster that involves lasers.

Martin Ansin. Not Tyler Stout.

This won`t be easy. I could not get Dracula... Never gotten an Ansin or Moss drop online before (not me personally). Sideshow Collectibles will bereleasing the variant most like.

Olly Moss will be selling his copies of The Bat next week too. Unsigned though.

mondo's site crashed on me. I clicked on it the moment it went up too. I've been missing since Totoro. Grrr.

I realize that bitching about the way Mondo creates and distributes limited edition posters is not going to change anything and is beside the point in this thread. However, I checked their Twitter feed earlier today and saw that the time difference between "Tron is up!" and "Tron is sold out!" was three minutes. Mondo creates some incredible posters and I'm going to be sad when I almost certainly fail to snag their Porco Rosso poster in time, but I'm not sure it's really worth the effort of throwing yourself against that particular wall when you have 180 seconds to try to get through the checkout process once you get the for sale tweet. Obviously things are only that bad for very hot posters and there are some of their posters you don't have to try to pounce on instantly to obtain, but that's still moderately insane and it's not like their less-than-insanely-popular posters are generally available for even an hour at a time.

it's totally not worth it imo. I love the art and so on and I've splashed out on the Totoro one but I dont think I will do it again.

I may just hunt for hi-res pictures of them and print them off myself just for show. I'm after these for decor really and that'd get the job done.

Occasionally I may find one I absolutely must own but I can live without them!

I don't mind missing drops but it's a bit upsetting to miss when I click on it asap and get the white screen of death. =/ Especially when you read about how other people were able to score two by logging into another account and I'm stuck on this white screen forever.

Surprise Mondo/Sideshow Collectibles /Disney release yesterday. Sold out already though.

My Totoro poster should arrive today or tomorrow : )

I don't know what to do with it though. I want to open it so I can check for damage, defects, etc, but I'm worried about not being able to roll it back up without damaging it or getting fingerprint smudges on it or something >_<

Whatever the case, I'm definitely taking it to get framed almost immediately. I need to find a good place to do that in my area...

I am hurting for money right now but couldn't pass up getting a Mondo poster for Drive. It will be exclusive to the showing next Tuesday as far as I know.

I'll have an extra which I'll be happy to sell to a fellow GAFfer at a reasonable rate (would like to cover my costs or come close to it) before posting on eBay. I'll let y'all know what it looks like once it has been unveiled. It may just be one of the ones they've already done.

The Bat is up super early! http://www.postersandtoys.net/servlet/Detail?no=1206

never bought anything from postersandtoys before. Any advice on how Moss's The Bat is going to drop and the steps to buy it.

Sorry. Did not see this earlier. Buying from here is a bit of a pain. I got shut out from the ansin mummy ap drop cause my shipping address was different than my billing...and there's never time for error. For reference for next time, you need to create an account and details need to be exact with the paypal ones. You also must abbreviate the state and not spell it out. Check out is via paypal. You'll also need to, for some reason, sign in every time you purchase something. It doesn't keep you signed in.

Lots of good posters go up on that site. It's owned by 1/3 of the Mondo peeps (Mitch Putnam). For some Mondo artists, the ap editions later get sold on his site as opposed to the artist's (such as ansin, ken taylor, etc.).

Signed artist proof editions for Conquest of the Planet of the apes are up for sale in case you missed it from Mondo:

Only $5 price difference. But Shipping is $20 instead of $14.

most don't wait for the tweet, there are some browser apps/plugins to assist you in knowing when these things go on sale. pretty much why the same people are always able to get what they want.

that said, i really wish they'd switch to a lottery system at this point. they're popular enough for it. only taking lottery entries for 5-10 minutes or 4x the entries as posters available would still lend itself to the 'hardcore', they'd still get their money and it'd be much less server load not having to verify credit cards, etc

Space Ghost Coast to Coast by Jayson Weidel (http://www.oo-de-lally.com/)

weidel%20space%20ghost3.jpg

11"x17" Giclee print on watercolor paper. Signed/Numbered. Edition size is only a tiny handful (not sure exactly how many, but it should go fast). $30.

Was supposed to be for the Gallery 1988 x adult swim official art show but the artist decided to make a higher run of Robot Chicken instead. Robot Chicken was only an edition of 30, so this will be less in terms of run size.

How to buy online: http://www.oo-de-lally.com/contact-oo-de-lally/ Let him know you want one.

I really liked Iron Jaiden's Videodrome and 0000 prints, but I try to only buy prints for movies that I'm really into and I can't seem to rent Kill List from anywhere in Canada.
