It would look better in black but I don't hate it and the console design is secondary to the games as imo so whatever.
I used an X51 in my lounge for a while and the PS5 is only a tiny bit taller than that, with the depth and width being almost identical, so the size doesn't bother me. It needs to be quieter than my PS4 Pro though!

Ps5 is designed to be a fast console. One aspect of that is having high gpu clock to quickly process the data fed to it fast. Which means in needs a good cooling system .

Well it's a good fight with the serie X. I mean all the prop for the size of the new xbox, but it boggles my mind see so many people try to argue is good looking or better of the ps5. It's very simplistic and to my eyes seems even a cheaper built.

I'm a big Demon's Souls fan. So I can't wait to play the remaster first day.
Because I'm gonna get the PS5 for that, I can enjoy the newest games I would have played on my PS4 anyway (Miles Morales, Cyberpunk, AC: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion) with next-gen enhancements right away.
And my daughter loves Sackboy, so she'll be happy to join me.
See? Hard to swallow, but many people are able to love the lineup because it fits their gaming preferences.
