Stunner. Can be delivered at pretty much any time, actually looks like it could hurt, :D

Hell, Randy Orton got over pretty much by turning the RKO into a modified stunner (among other reasons...but a finishing move that actually looks badass sure helps). It's just a badass looking move.

I always thought of the People's Elbow has kind of a 'humiliation' move. You're already beaten, now he's just mocking you.

Which is cool in it's own right I guess.
 
Back in '99 my middle school started suspending kids for the Stunner after someone got their jaw broke. It would be a jokes to run up behind someone and stunner them and of course assholes took it too far.

The stunner might be THE best finisher. Ahhh, the satisfying kick to the stomach right before it happens and the opponent getting shot upwards after is it dealt.

Removing the elbow pad is what stuns the opponent for 30 seconds. Once he has that off there is no way the opponent can recover before he delivers the DEVESTATING... elbow drop?

And I will ALWAYS mark out for Scotty 2 Hotty. How can you compete with that name?

nothing in wrestling like the moment when The Rock drops a Spinebuster or a Rock Bottom and jumps up to do The People's Elbow. its a moment that takes full advantage of the spotlight.

every time he started to pull that elbow pad off, i went nuts.
 
Rock > Austin, but Austin was a fuckin beast. I stopped watching when these two left, but with The Rock back I may have to peep an episode and see what it's like these days.

Exactly, The People's Elbow was not dropped in isolation, it was a follower to a spinebuster or rock bottom or something, then he trolled the opponent with that stupid ass elbow pad removing, hand waving, back and forth running only to stop dead, elbow drop.

It was beautiful.
 
Well I'm back to watch.. Damn was there any buzz about this happening before he came out?? I remember when I was really into wrestling. We had two tvs in my room to watch wwe and wcw at the same time. The Internet sites would have news and rumors up all the time and I would know stuff like this before it happens...

I would have went crazy if I was watching and didn't know he was showing up

Holy damn man... I've watched maybe 3 episodes of WWE over the past several years and I've never given any serious thought of getting back into it. But I am hyped as shit after seeing those clips! The motherfucking Rock has returned and is as awesome as he ever was.

You did it Vince, my DVR is now set.

And If Austin, Foley and Angle somehow manage to show up I'm gonna lose my fucking shit...

And Austin > The Rock. I love them both, but Austin was just a mean motherfucker. And the feuds he had with Vince and co always brought the lulz. Plus, the guy used to celebrate his victories by getting shit-faced in a ring stained with the blood of his enemies. How god damn awesome is that?

The chairshots to the head isn't really just about PG rating. Recently its been found out just how much damage they can do to someone. It would be pretty irresponsible for them to keep having them.
 
Last night was pretty awesome. The promo he cut was not anything special by The Rock's standards, it just really proves how pathetic the WWE roster is in terms of charisma and how starved we as fans are for it. It's something that can't be taught.

Punk is ok, but he would be considered average in the Attitude era. Jericho used to be great, but either he or WWE decided to change his approach (which is just about the same as Miz) and he became the same as every one else. Crap.

Looking forward to seeing how Rock's 'comeback' plays out.

I haven't seen the whole thing but he's treating this as an actual return to the WWE and claims he's going to be staying this time. I honestly find that hard to believe and asume that he will be kicked off the show via a storyline.

Rock and Austin carried WWF attitude era. For me - it was the golden years of wrestling (sorry Hogan!)

If Austin does comeback, god damn what a show we're in for. Id love to see HHH, Austin and Rock taking over and showing those pretenders how its really done.

Wrestlemania Rock vs Hogan is the greatest match i've ever seen.
 
Was wondering this .. (maybe part of the angle between Rock and Cena). There was a transition from Austin to Rock. I don't believe there ever was one for Cena. With the Rock, you had Hogan and Austin put him over at Wrestlemania. Who put Cena over? Triple H?
 
I got so excited when I saw on Twitter that he was back! The actual news story of just hosting Wrestlemania is kind of disheartening but I'm still tempted to watch. Dude cant be beat.

If Jericho was still around, I'm sure they'd let him go back to doing what he used to do. His bits with the Rock were too awesome.
