*gasp* "The canary!"
"GAS! OUT OF THE THREAD!!"

Okay, quote guessing time. I usually remember my Simpsons inside out this one is escaping me (might not be in Simpsons at all).

Homer (?) has bought something new (?) and Marge (?) ask what does it do and Homer (?) says something along the lines "Oohh what doesn't it do" and walks away

Stonecutters?

Homer: I'd give anything to get into the Stonecutters.
Lisa: What do they do there, Dad?
Grampa: I'm a member -
Homer: What do they do? What *don't* they do?
[laughs]
Homer: Oh, they do so many things they never stop. Oh, the things they do there, my stars.
Lisa: You don't know what they do there, do you?
Homer: Not as such, no.

Proof that competent character animation still occasionally happens in the HD era...

I remember actually being impressed at some legitimate followthrough in the animation for this one bit in Homer the Whopper:

If only they could maintain this quality for even a 1/16th of the animation. From what I hear nowadays the production is so lighting paced, there's almost no time for this kind of attention to detail.

Even though I have all the DVDs, I've been watching mostly on the FX app lately for convenience. It's fun to hit the "random" button and just see which eps come on. I always groan when I see the HD intro starting lol. But I'll usually watch 'em anyway.

Last night I got Fear Of Flying / Colonel Homer / Radio Bart all in a row. Score!

My go to phrase whenever I'm feeling smug around the house.

Does anyone have an 'Independent Thought Alarm' gif?

It would be very useful on the gaming side, or whenever anyone has a wildly different opinion. Maybe photoshop Bish's face on the button.

I really appreciate the bait and switch the pee-wee football episode does. When Lisa comes out in a uniform and you think it's going to be a "Lisa tries to break down gender norms and is met with resistance by the other boys" but that's immediately shot down. Of course, it becomes another generic "Homer is a dumbass" plot pretty quick, but it's a good episode.

This is awesome.

SIMPSONS PIXELS by Paul Robertson and Ivan Dixon with a theme by Jeremy Dower.

It's so well done and lovely to look at. And since it is Paul Robertson, you can expect it to get weird by the end.

They should just make it the couch gag for an episode. I mean everyone else has made one.
Just a heads up that this will, in fact, be the couch gag for this weekend's new episode that airs tomorrow night.
(I have no misplaced expectations that the episode that will follow will be any good.)

It's odd, considering I was in 1st grade at the time, and every Valentine's Day, we had to give cards to everyone in the classroom, even the ones we didn't know, or like.
They did an episode a couple years ago where that was the subplot.
Bart was incensed that he was under orders to give Nelson a Valentine and refused.

We did this too in third grade. Or at least we were supposed to. I still remember some kids who refused. Mostly girls who took Valentines way more seriously than boys.
