Who paid you to grab Dr. Pavel?
Maybe that's why we beat you in football nearly half the time.
Just got this 2 days ago..
Muhahah.....love it.
i absolutely love the last scene of the episode, where martin stands naked in his garden (that sounds kinda wrong) ...the whole scene, the sunset, the music... always gives me a good feeling.
King Size Homer. Homer's new character model gets me every time. The muumuu, cape and "fat guy hat" makes for a rather hilarious visual.
Did you have the same dream with the backwards talking girl and the flaming cards?

I'm partial to Season 6... but 3 is a solid choice. Is season 3 the overall best season of the Simpsons?
Homer the HereticSo I'm curious, what's everybody's favourite episode ever? If I had to pick one I'd probably go with Homer Badman.
I go back and forth between 4 and 5. Arguments could be made for any season from 2-6 though. Is season 3 the overall best season of the Simpsons?
I watched Duffless this morning. There is not a single second of that episode which is not funny or awesome.

I can vaguely remember having seen something a while ago that made me think "So that's where they got that from!" but I can recall it clearly what it was.Was this scene supposed to be mimicry of something else? The music and circumstances seemed too specific to be original.
I think the joke is that it is just an old actor to joke how out of date Burns is. Groening wanted to ruin that joke by getting someone more recognizable for it. Groening still thinks he is correct on that argument.I've always laughed at the Rory Calhoun joke but I've never understood it. Does anyone know the reference?

According to the capsule at Simpsons Archive, it's supposed to be a reference to The Mind's Eye. The music is based on the score by Jan Hammer. Was this scene supposed to be mimicry of something else? The music and circumstances seemed too specific to be original.
Those stupid obscure referneces are what really make The Simpsons sometimes. I don't know anything about Rory Calhoun, I wouldn't recognize Gabby Hayes or ever read Eudora Welty. But damn if I don't remember their names!
Hush... you're not allowed to talk about the best post-classic era season in here.Krusty, the ratings were good. Raymond rerun good.
Season 15
"Alright, everyone remember, we're in the Itchy lot"
Never been to Disneyland, is it a reference to how big the parking lots are?
