Summer of 4ft 2 is far and away my favourite episode of the show.
Tonight's episode was a real gem, probably the best of the season.
Top eleven episodes of all time?
1) Last Exit to Springfield (season 4)
2) Lemon of Troy (season 6)
3) Homer at the Bat (season 3)
4) Mr. Plow (season 4)
5) Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk (season 3)
6) Cape Feare (season 5)
7) Marge vs. The Monorail (season 4)
8) Two Dozen and One Greyhounds (season 6)
9) 22 Short Films about Springfield (season 7)
10) Simpson and Delilah (season 2)
11) Duffless (season 4)
I guess season 4 is probably the best of them all. I wanted to add Treehouse of Horror V, but I couldn't it topping anything on that list. Thoughts? Your lists?
Too bad all of season 24 is overly average.
Such a shame, Season 22 and 23 showed promise, 24 has just been average.
Though I liked the couch gag from that episode
Oh, man! Ned spelled ink all over my poems. He's a real flat tire, I mean a cube, man. He's putting us on the train to Squaresville, Mona!
Nice thought (especially with both of them being hippies)... but Mona Flanders is still very much alive while Mona Simpson is very much dead.wait, I just realized, Homer and Flanders' mothers have the same name.
Hmmmm

Here's a question: If you can just use one image from a scene from the Simpsons, to represent the Simpsons, which would it be, this image, that represents the Simpsons?

Today on NeoGAF I learned that there's a difference between a hippie and a beatnik. I am learned.Mona Flanders is a beatnik.

gif request
Can someone make a gif from S05E10 where Homer is the casino dealer and he grabs Rain Man's arm and he starts hitting himself so Homer starts yelling and hitting himself too? I was just watching that episode and that part had me rolling.

I think my favorite episode is probably Bart on the Road, and I don't even know why. I don't think it's the funniest, and it doesn't have any strong emotional aspect, but something about Bart, Milhouse, Nelson, and Martin going on a road trip is just... right.

#1 Mountain of Madness!
And yet "Simpsons go to a theme park and do shit" was a great baseline for jokes in Itchy & Scratchy Land.So what episode from the classic seasons do you think are crap?
I honestly don't get Bart vs. Australia. I feel the jokes are flat and simply "Simpsons go to another country and do shit" is a terrible baseline for jokes.
