Of the classic seasons? Still DVD.
They've only started putting recent seasons on BluRay (starting with Season 13).
I'm expecting a full BluRay set when the show finally leaves the air but that may still be a few years away.

You and me both. Even the digital releases of classic era episodes are SD-only as of right now.
Perhaps that's what FOX will do when one of the VAs finally dies.
They'll keep The Simpsons on in prime time for another dozen or more seasons simply by re-animating older episodes into clear, crisp high-definition.
Could easily sail past Season 40 that way.

They were shot on film. They can easily get 1080p out of that.
Not to mention the DVD transfers of the classic seasons are terrible & subpar to what was seen on TV.
That's good to hear. Those who don't want it crisp and clear can stick to the DVDs then, lol.

Something I like about Simpsons, over say, Family Guy, is that the way they are designed doesn't give the "caricature" vibe.

Honestly, it can mean both. It's not like the car hole/hold discussion, where the latter was clearly incorrect.
I guess it doesn't make sense to me because we don't say anything like that here. Do people in the US really talk about stuff they're good at and say "That's where I'm a viking?". I woulda thought it'd be more like "That's what I'm a viking at", if anything.
Anyway just outta interest I was looking to see where my cutoff for good vs bad episodes was, scrolling through seasons and reading some synopses. I honestly thought my cutoff might be Season 10 or so but turns out it's Season 8 (inclusive), and that's still being pretty generous.
If I can get Season 1-8 in HD someday I'll be happy.
Anyway just outta interest I was looking to see where my cutoff for good vs bad episodes was, scrolling through seasons and reading some synopses. I honestly thought my cutoff might be Season 10 or so but turns out it's Season 8 (inclusive), and that's still being pretty generous.

This is what I thought immediately the first time I saw the episode. I don't understand how people can possibly not understand that we base our beliefs on what our minds immediately came up with. It's not that hard.
