Well Dean, I'm really sorry for the "running you over" prank.

"Okay, guys. Push him out of the way in exactly three seconds."

"Should we correct for wind resistance?"

"Hmm, possibly. What do you think?"

So I just saw a story on a crappy tabloid news program that condemned the sale of real life Duff beer on the basis that it promotes drunkeness, glorifies alcohol abuse and encourages underage drinking. To prove this they showed footage from Duffless, Duff Gardens and the Beer Baron episode.

God people are stupid.

Excessive alcohol consumption can cause liver damage and cancer of the rectum.

"Mmm...beer."

There was an interesting story on the DVD commentary about that line original being "Excessive beer consumption...", but Fox was so worried about sponsors being upset they wanted them to change it even though the producers showed them it was a real medical effect of beer consumption. Changing it to "alcohol" was the compromise.

Is German GAF watching the good episodes on tv right now and posting stuff here or what? Lots of episodes I've seen recently. Classic Simpsons, sogood.gif.

I don't watch it on TV...I don't even know which episodes are on. must be coincidence

Homer and Mindy episode and the casino episode were on yesterday. The Homer goes to college one, Homer's soul doughnut, the Bobo episode...what a week. The one with the Osaka flu and Dr Nick's juicer the one before that, Monorail (Monoraaail, Monoraaaaaaaaaail) as well.

Now I need a pic of Homer squeezing an orange, or a gif.

Oh Lisa, you and your stories. Bart's a vampire. Beer kills brain cells.
"Now let's go back to that...building...thingy, where our beds and TV...is."

Funnily enough, those episodes bolded were also shown this week on the same channel I watch. Lucky us. Up next, Itchy and Scratchy: The Movie and Treehouse of Horror III.

This episode always frustrated me. What anagram of Jeremy Irons is there that describes him?
The closest one could get is Jersey Minor.
Which he almost was as a kid growing up.

Irons hails from the Isle of Wight directly off the southern coast of England.
On the opposite side of the English channel is the Island of Jersey - technically, a British Crown dependency despite being closest to Normandy, France.
So wrong island but, otherwise, it could have actually worked. At least until he reached the age of majority.

My most frustrating memory of Jeremy Irons and the Simpsons is that he lent his voice to this monstrosity...

I actually always kind of liked that. I felt it was meant to be a little bit of a joke that she got a really hard one, while Alison got a comparatively easier one. I am awful at anagrams though, and would have botched hers too.

Part of me likes to think that Allison's dad was an evil bastard who got off on propping up his kid while demeaning everyone else's.
Hence why he sabotaged Lisa by giving her a celebrity name that could not be easily rearranged into a description so he could make her feel stupid.

So my buddies and I did Simpsons trivia here in Chicago the other week. We consider ourselves pretty big Simpsons fans... we got 31st out of 32 teams. The type of questions were pretty crazy

Yo, I did Simpsons trivia in Toronto and it was hype.

First round we got 18.5/20, but we could have aced it. Second round 10/20, final round 2/10 and it was brutal hard (23rd place out of 56).

Questions were like name two museums in Springfield, name the personal items of Jedidiah Springfield on display, what two items were stolen from a museum by the cat burglar, what was the name of the museum that Homer operated where one could see genuine Alec and Kimemorbilia.

Who would want to answer questions from a generic Museums category?

Good things don't end in -eum.
They end with -mania or -teria.

I had to park somewhere far away the other day and someone mentioned to me "we gotta remember where we parked" so I replied "we're in the ITCHY lot." He just looked at me, perplexed.
