The Song above you... Rate it!!!

From the name i was expecting some black/death metal screaming stuff, so i was pleasantly surprised.
I liked it.

Tortoise - Seneca.

LOVE tortoise should listen again to TNT, freaking good album. This song is also very good 9/10

Saw the B-52s this Friday and they were quite amazing despite their age. Really cool concert, although they "forgot" to play my favourite song from them which is this

The B-52s - Give me back my man

Pretty sweet beat but the vocals could be better. Wish the song was longer too, 7/10
I had the same thoughts, and similar rating in my head, but the kid is 18 I think so was pretty blown away knowing that.
I think this would be great to go along with a trailer or something, but otherwise it's a whole lot of nothing IMO sorry. So as an addition to something I'd give it a 7/10, the song itself a 2/10.

Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera Best part starts at 4:50, although the whole song is fucking amazing.
I don't like that this thread lost traffic when there's a kick ass Iron Maiden song! It's been so long.

However what I'm posting is totally different haha! I blame how late it is.

Frederic Robinson - Theme Park

Shit did I post this before too? I hope not. I should check huh.

Nice ambient opening into a rather eclectic jazz/world beat groove. I'd put it as more of an experimental track, moving from one thought to the next. Overall I guess a 7/10..would have been a 6, but at times he managed to cop some of Jan Hammer's feel, which I always appreciate.

Kate Isenberg - View of the Ocean (sorry for the myspace link...really wanted to do three different tracks from this, but figured this was one of the most accessible)

aw really nice and cute!
definitely a feel good song.
I'll counter that with some modern life is war
dark water

I've always really liked Pretty Lights' style. Seems like their new album is good will have to check it out! Ends abruptly though, like they may not have found a good way to.

Back to my rock playlist atm

Baroness - Jake Leg

Some nice guitar stuff going on here, though I wasn't all that enamored with the vocals

Here's mine

Completely different genre, if it didn't fit a few sub genres already I'd call it cyberfunk.

starts going places at 0:40

Cheezy as all shit, but I'm still groovin. Sounds like a Neon Indian b-side from Psychic Chasms.

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Hawk Highway Some pleasant indie rock.

Singing is all right I guess, otherwise it's pretty vacant though. 5/10

Megadeth - Peace Sells

What do you mean I ain't kind?

Just not your kind.

Yeah, I love this. I'm going to buy their album now.
5/5

The genre is not my cup of tea, although I really liked the opening 10 seconds.
2/5

Golden Fable - Be Alive

I think your link is broken but I tracked down this live version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFhPBOO4k4M

It's ok, nothing spectacular but it did not bother me. 6/10

Got to see T.S.O.L. this past thursday and it was quite a good concert. I'm always a bit afraid of these old harcore band reunions, but this one turned out ok.

9/10 enjoyed it quite a bit.

Something a bit harder than I have posted in the past. Still one of DT's lightest tracks.

Dark Tranquillity - State of Trust

It was a bit meh for me, and I like metal, but I guess this is not my type of thing. 5/10

It's honestly not even close to one of my favorite DT tracks, just wanted to go with something that would be listen-able in case someone that didn't like growling happened to take my post.
