Kate Bush is a cool lady with an amazing voice. That song in particular is real powerful.
I just stumbled across this one.
Tor - Glass & Stone

Tor - Glass & Stone
Not something I'd listen to much anymore, but I'll admit I was drawn in a bit by the steel drum sample. Not my thing but it was super atmospheric and got my mum to listen to it and she really liked it! 7/10
This is my jam.

You may like this one a bit more, though I'm listening to calmer stuff so I get tired and sleep.
Scifer - Coast
Not a fan of screamo at all but the guitar part starting at 1:33 was pretty cool
Beach Boys - Surf's Up
That ending...
10/10 i'm allergic to wasps' stings, so that's an amazing tool.
Will look for it.

Spacemen 3 - I love you.
sounds rad 9/10
iamamiwhoami - play
I love it, the general sound of the song is awesome. Her singing is very fitting.
Should listen to more of her honestly, only heard a few from her.
Julia Holter - Maxim's I
Another female songwriter worthy of recognition this year, her album blew me away.
Sounds very very interesting, I will check the whole album later for sure. 9/10
Now for something funnnn
Servotron - Matrix of perfection
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lfiu_16hOOw
If they ever do another Jet Set Radio, this would fit in well, between one CiboMatto and the other.

Elysian Fields - Climbing My Dark Hair
Hmm... I didnt find it that interesting. I wish it had climaxed a bit and she really ripped out some vocals.
Mountain Man- Babylon
A female a cappella group. I've been listening to them a lot lately. They help me relax some.
Bonus song by them
It was good, but something felt off about it, i dunno what. Still it was enjoyable and these ladies definitely have talent 8/10
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Never listened to anything from her before, that I know of. I enjoyed it but it felt a bit too short.
Pinback have released a new song but I'm not so sure if I like it yet so I will post one from a previous record.
Pinback - Fortress
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59cQWw9ctOA
Quite cool, a relaxing listen. 8/10.
I don't think this one will be liked by many, but here we go:
Fireflight - Escape
You know what... I'm feeling that. That's a 9.
Below is my favorite Seal song, probably my favorite song of the past 10 years. Downtempo.
Seal - Tinsel Town
Only thing I really knew of by seal was Crazy. This is better, but it's not quite to my tastes (I prefer my music to have a bit more of a rawness to it, a little bit of imperfection that gives it a bit of life)
7.6
Murder By Death: The Desert is on Fire
Not my kind of thing, but it's not bad at all. 6/10I celebrate the man's entire catalog.
That song there... I can appreciate it as a 7 or 8, but it's not for me.
I'll leave one more, different than my previous submission.
Neon Horse -> Yer Busy Little Beehive
Not my kind of thing, but it's not bad at all. 6/10
and I guess I'll give it a go-
twenty one pilots: Ode to Sleep
Vocally it is not my kind of music but the rest I enjoyed. 6/10

The Sheepdogs "Feeling Good"
Not bad. The vocalist's voice is quite handsome. I think I can drink to this [feelin' good/oh like you know I should]. It also sounds quite familiar, which is a benefit if you like the sound but is also a double-edged sword. Anyway, a 7.5 out of 10.
Oliver's "Night Is On My Mind" (16 seconds to the start of the track)
Edit: oops, I missed my go. Edited my selection to keep the proper sequence.
At first I thought it was going to be exactly like what I was listening to. I like the distant instrumentals, it's cool, vocals would take a few more listens to accept.Menomena: Pique

Tor - Nomad
Shit I linked Tor on this page, even.
Buzzcocks - Autonomy
Nomad was pretty good a nice and relaxing song. The static got a bit annoying after awhile.
7/10
The World (Is Going Up In Flames) by Charles Bradley
8
Very chill, and suave...reminds me of some bond movie anthems.
Stonefield - Put your Curse on Me
First single from their debut Album. Kind of different from their previous songs, but still very reminiscent of '60s and '70s rock like most of their music.
They're definitely some good stuff. Like you said, that 60's/70's rock sound is very apparent, but sort of refreshing in a modern day sense.
Pure Love- Bury My Bones
This is my bud's band.
A lot of tattoos / out of 10. Pretty good, though I'm not heavy into rock. I say... 8.
Teargas & Plateglass - A Book of Black Valentines
The Warrrrrrrrrrrm Warrrrrrrrrm parts are cool but I hate that drum beat so I give it a 6/10.
Opeth - Windowpane

^ Beaten. Was going to say that I totally dig the sound of a A Book of Black Valentines. Dark and drum heavy, I give it a 9/10. Gonna search more stuff from this band/artist, thanks!
Lately I've been listening to a lot of rather chill dance/electronic music. I've especially been listening to Luomo (aka Vladislav Delay) first two albums, Vocalcity and The Present Lover, some mighty fine Deep House / Micro House albums.
Here is a track from Vocalcity: Tessio
This track was later remixed for The Present Lover.I think the Vocalcity version is better.

Luomo's aight, solid song. Love the progression.
Volcano Choir - Comrade
Sounds a lot like The Books in my opinion.
This sounds good although I cannot hear anymore auto-tune distorted vocals without thinking of Kanye West, think people should stop using them 7/10 (Ah, it's Bon Iver, sounded familiar)
But hey, thanks for the Jolia Holter recommendation earlier in the thread, I really love the latest album!
Something heavy
PRIMITIVE MAN | Astral Sleep
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPsBTZclD04
Reminds me of Tears for Fears. 8.
Here's a little downtempo track from a group that normally isn't.*
Family Force 5 - Tank Top
Not something that I'd usually listen to but that wasn't actually that bad.

Crystal Fighters & Feed Me - Love is all I've Got.
It's a good song within that style of music but a bit formulaic, I think.
Dead can Dance - A Passage in Time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnqunTY1D9Q
Great vocals
Despite the tempo, the song is a bit slow for my taste.
Enjoyed it though, 6.8/10
Apparat - You Don't Know Me ***serious sub-woofer required.
All I know is that, unlike the blonde, this girl didn't seem to appreciate being screamed at by these two douchebags (I'd say the confused look of contemptuous disgust on her face gives her away), but she still tries to stay in character and fake it; she's a trooper.

As for me, I think I'll leave that crap to the screamo posers, and instead entertain myself with a little Isis.

Screaming out of 10. While I'm not completely and totally opposed to the concept, this is not my thing.
