Not to worry, because that's not what I was referring to at all.
Art direction can be better without immediately jumping to photorealism.
Here's another question.
What do you think Nintendo's BIG Graphical showcase of the Wii U will be at E3? In other words, what do you think will be the prettiest game shown?

What if Nintendo was making a StarFox game in the same vein as Battlefront 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j81I_-uaOqg), with seamless ground and space missions, and it looked as good as the Samaritan demo?
What ever Retro is doing. Here's another question.

So are you guys still betting on a new IP rather than Starfox in here?
Not only that but the things the controller can do with Kinect abilities. It wouldn't be the primary (only) part of control like Kinect and because of that it may "fit" better with certain types of games since it wouldn't be a primary control. Ideaman has talked about the facial recognition aspect. But having that function as a part of the controller could open up some different ideas for games. I would also assume that tells us the minimum level of the camera since Kinect used a 1.3MP camera, but I don't know what you could get away with camera-wise for something like that either.
EDIT: I got a game idea for this. An Ironman game where the controller works as the HUD.

Well that's what i'm hoping for.So are you guys still betting on a new IP rather than Starfox in here?
I am not sure this is the same color as the Midnight Purple at all
I don't care if its lighting its just so far from the color
I don't think the look or the Mii's were what made the game what it was designed for, and an HD sequel could go for a totally different look, maybe with themes based on musical styles. I'm imagining a game with a less cutesy look - imagine, for example, some jazz musicians playing their music in a dark, stormy environment, lit by passing cars and the cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. The real question is how could a game using Mii's be hyper-realistic and detailed like in the Samaritan demo?
But if it WAS, yes I would. If it had a nice soundtrack that is.
So are you guys still betting on a new IP rather than Starfox in here?
I am. Nintendo has to establish the direction they want Wii U to go. And based on their own PR speak a current 1st party IP wouldn't cut it IMO.

So guys, anything new today ?
Hey BG. I was just checking out the ps4 thread. Based on what you know, do you think that the WiiU will be competitive next gen? Can it even be considered next-gen? Has nintendo made another Wii level tech decision?
I disagree, third parties sure have been pushing the 3DS through its paces. Heck, a launch game, Super Street Fighter IV, uses just about all of the 3DS features, and aside from the static backgrounds and low res looks just like the XBox 360 version, complete with 60fps (in 2D).Retros game and/or Pikmin 3.
3rd partys propably WON´T use the extra power of the WiiU AT ALL. (But i like to be surprised...)
Sarcasm?![]()
Not at all actually. I really wanna know what he thinks.
Maybe I'm colorblind, but it looks like it's the same color to me. The pictures of the purple 3DS's packaging don't have any shine on them, thus it will look different.
EDIT: Look at it from this angle, and it looks like the same color.

Something like this where you're running an on rails shooter on the main TV you control with the thumb sticks while you use the tilt sensor to aim and shoot AR style could be really, really fun...

Thinking about it further I don't think it would have to be on rails. Thinking about how it would play after the other post, my take would be that if you played on the TV it could be 3rd person, but another option is if you played on the controller it would be 1st person and would be similar to the way it worked in the movie. Or you could eliminate the 3rd person option altogether and play directly from the controller.
Expounding further the camera would recognize where you were looking. You move the controller screen to view the game. Left analog to control Ironman. And the mic to give commands to Jarvis.

Okay, I'm gonna mark this one as VERY SALTY, but RMC and co posted a rumour that Tadashi Sugiyama is gonna show a new game for Wii U at E3.
He worked on those games:
EDIT: HILTZ, IMMA CUT YOU!

So did we learn that the wii u hardware is shitty? I've been reading things elsewhere that suggest as such.
The UBI list is missing Rayman Legends.
You're right, it wouldn't have to always be on rails. For flying sections I think it'd be the way to go though.
On the ground you could totally make it control like a third person action game on the TV with the same "in the head" control using the tilt sensor on the uPad. Hell, you could even use the camera to map your reflection onto the visor if you wanted.
Getting the animation right for the character could be tricky, but holy cow, potential big fun there.
Dammit, now you've got me all hyped up thinking about the possibilities...
Eh. I'm expecting something that matches the 360 but a bit more efficient. That's about it.

Now I'm interested in this again. Sounds likely.I've stated before I believe he is working with Miyamoto his new IP. My reasoning:
- The Starfox and F Zero artist works in this group. They may be using his talent on creating a new character
- Miyamoto has stated 1) he would like to work with smaller groups of younger developers and 2) that is is working on a "small but important Wii U title." Since this group has primarily produced smaller scale games (i.e. Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Starfox 64 3D [collab with Q games], and Steel Diver [collab with Vitei)], this group would seem to fit the bill.
Honestly I wouldn't be shocked by ice climbers at all. We've had them in 2 smash bros games. Sakurai was thinking about them, why not Nintendo proper?
Hmm, I reckon some IPs just don't have much potential like Mario, Zelda and Metroid; Kid Icarus made it to 3D as well, but I don't see how could they possibly make Ice climbers' gameplay more appealing and deeper.
Define what you mean by competitive.
Although I understand what you're asking, as long as a new console is next gen regardless of power I can only say yes.
And no Nintendo has not made another Wii-level tech decision. The available info I have would say that Wii U should still be able to get ports once all the next gen consoles are released and mature. It might not become an issue till the end of the gen once devs begin to max out PS4 and Xbox 3. But by then we'll be hearing about the next Nintendo console for all we know.
Turn it into a survival game.Maybe something like the grey (which i haven't seen yet)where you have to survive in the frozen wildness, fighting off wild animals, and you have to fashion weapons out of whatever you find.Of course they'll have to change the name Ice Climbers won't cut it.Hmm, I reckon some IPs just don't have much potential like Mario, Zelda and Metroid; Kid Icarus made it to 3D as well, but I don't see how could they possibly make Ice climbers' gameplay more appealing and deeper.

Competitive like PS2 was competittive to GameCube/Xbox for exemple.
Or more simple, will Wii U be able to have port from PS4/720. I mean straight port, or port with some fonctions disabled, and the resolution lowered.
