Anyone still believe that WiiU will be demonstrably better then PS360? A generational leap?
IMO the HD twins were between 1.5-2 times a generation leap. I don't expect a giant leap like from PS2 to PS3, and I probably shouldn't expect the same for PS4 and Xbox 3.Anyone still believe that WiiU will be demonstrably better then PS360? A generational leap?
cyberheater's first post in thread VI, everyone!
Welcome to the party!
You didn't post at all in thread V, one might think you weren't interested

If Wii U doesn't match Xbox 3 and PS4, big deal. It's already way more than enough to deliver compelling games.
I'm not posting in that thread again, its baiting and they know it.
EC saying there is nothing unreasonable about what Vigil is saying is reaching because those guys seem to be covering up plain laziness to me but whatever
there are so many reasons for all ports just to use the same assets as PS360 to WiiU without any improvements. This does not mean WiiU = PS360 but for some reason Eurogamer and Vigil keep shouting this from the mountain tops we just have to wait and see - when Nintendo starts embarrassing 3rd parties maybe they will try harder

I'm glad we're moving to Community tomorrow.
Welcome back, cyberheaty! Missed ya!
Same. I'll probably be posting a lot less now that this thread is in the community.
I'm expecting the Wii U to be 2x the 360. I don't think we'll know how better it is compared to the PS360 until we see some exclusives for the platform. I also feel that the 720/PS4 won't be what everyone's expecting them to be in terms of spec, but they will noticeably be ahead of the Wii U.

I don't get how this is a thing. It won't look any different in my subscriptions.
How is that a good thing?
Easy. I don't subscribe.I don't get how this is a thing. It won't look any different in my subscriptions.

I'll also be posting a lot less. That's just how community goes.

What is this from?
it's just a turn off for reasons that are hard to explain. I already tried to explain it before but I already visit gaming side and OT so much, that I just don't want to visit another place. Occasionally I'll keep the tab open and see if that helps me stay active, but I simply will not visit a 3rd place.I don't get how this is a thing. It won't look any different in my subscriptions.
Pretty much. I frequent all 4 forums every day, no problem.
It's not like it isn't warranted. We're a chat thread.
I've been busy with projects and family stuff
I'll also be posting a lot less. That's just how community goes.
I know about BP but who else was banned? The regulars will continue to post. We'll get some new info one way another.
I don't get why people are going and getting themselves banned less than two weeks from what is guaranteed to be an amazing show.
There are people who doesn't subscribe to this thread? Wow.
Less than two weeks to E3, we're almost there!
I'm glad all the speculation stuff is going to an end shortly, frankly I could not take it anymore, incidentally I'm looking forward to sharing my impressions with all of you while watching the live coverage, if all goes well.
I'm going to, but in the past there was no reason to. It's almost always in the top 10 newest posts whenever you enter Gaming.

serious question, like farealz. Does it matter? I would prefer much better graphics as well but overall, big picture wise, it doesn't matter. Regardless of how strong the wiiU is (this is obviously ignoring situations where it would be super super strong because that's pricing suicide), the other 2 will always be stronger. They're coming out later, and will undoubtedly launch at a higher price.True but I don't think it's going to be double what we have already. I'm expected more like 1.2x - 1.5x PS360 in terms of performance with maybe better texture resolutions given the expected extra memory.
I'm guessing somewhere near 2 or 3x, depending on what specific metrics we're looking at.I'm expecting the Wii U to be 2x the 360. I will tryHope everything is fine! I always noticed that most thread pages filled up without the best avatar in any of them :lol
Come on, guys: this thread lives because of its regulars. I'm pretty sure that we will could set a new standard for Community threads since this one will be always be on top and most people will still click it since the subject is interesting. They will sing songs about us in the future and claim that Community is the new Gaming forum.
And of course it would be a lot more boring without some of you.
there's been a few threads I was heavily active in like wrassle gaf, and just cold turkey stopped since moving to community. Unless you keep the community tab open you'll miss half the discussion and have to catch up like crazy. Whereas when a thread is here, I can see every time someone posts so it's easy to jump in and read it because I'm already on the gaming side browsing around. 2 is my max, and I visit OT a lot, so having to go to community just to see when people post is gonna be a bit much, and I think we all know how catching up on a thread like this is.Is the community thread like the land of the exiles or something? Lol some of you guys are acting like the thread is finished for good

In relation to this current generation, we already know that it will be demonstrably better than this generation. The spot Nintendo is in is what it is, not the hottest spot to be in tech wise, but it's a pretty sweet spot for them.*
*assuming certain devs climb on board
It's just another sub forum. Why are people but thurt about itI don't go to the Community forum and don't subscribe to any threads. Once this thread hits Community, I'm pretty positive I won't be posting in it.
I also think people are going to be surprised by the lack of dramatic difference between Wii U and PS720. Oh, but they'll try to dramatize it, believe you me, but it's gonna come down to some smallish things. The squabbling and teasing and baiting will continue, and it will look silly.
I'll also be posting a lot less. That's just how community goes.
it would be perfect if there was a way to have any topic you want appear on any side you want, and it shows there only for you. For instance me being able to keep this thread on the gaming side, even though for everyone who doesn't have it enabled will not see it there.Hrm. I wonder if this board's software has some sort of "feed" plugin, a page which'd allow people to view all topics as if they were in one flat forum. The SQL query for this would be almost identical to one that generates a topic list per Forum -- in fact, it'd be slightly simpler.
