The Witcher 3 PS4 gameplay

Gorgeous. I can't buy it day one, as it comes out two weeks before my finals, but will grab it as soon as they're over. Will be a great reward for a pretty exhausting year :)

Well, the console version still looks beautiful
Anyone comparing it with the PC version should just go and buy the PC version...

Ah so now we've gone to saying the game looks downgraded from the E3 footage? Without any basis at all?

Anyways game looks great on PS4.

No. It is not confirmed.

Just speculation, like most discussion about this game.

Well, not the same situation, but in one of those new PS4 vidoes there were explosions in the water or close to her (and Aard was also used on her), and no reaction from the water.. and the water is looking to have the same characteristics, features in all versions.. so, yeah, it's a speculation but still

I suspect it requires proper physX support. I seem to recall that it has a suite of fluid simulation algorithms?

Looks good, but I am still on the fence. I've fallen out of sorts with fantasy RPGs like Dragon Age ect, even Shadows of Mordor I failed to finish because it was simply too open. Is this for me? What makes it different from a typical RPG?

I thought Microsoft had some sort of marketing deal for game in place.
Why aren't they getting consoles footage first?

I don't think this is the typical marketing deal where they pretend competing platforms don't exist. Even the commercial doesn't have the usual "X" logo at the end.

Well, this a way more open than either of those, so probably not.

Looks great!

Ignore the inevitable PC-PS4 side-by-side comparisons that will come in the future and you will be perfectly happy with this version.

Edit: Love the diablo style inventory system... did Part 2 have that?

Is the game like DA:I with quests? With that I mean entering a new area and ten thousand quests pop up on your map. Or will you have to search for the quests by yourself?

Seriously, Youtube is probably the worst platform to show off games nowadays. Plus the compression here is extra horrible.

Hopefully they put up a downoad link to a less compressed version soon. I don't even want to see the game like this.

if annoying both gif ....., I'm sorry

let me know and I'll stop creating

Well we can't really tell until the game is out, but in most Open World games, the world and maybe side activity (mini games and stuff) is the main focus and then comes the story, quests.
In Witcher 3 however, the world is built around the story and quests, so the latter is the main focus and priority, it is basically the reverse process of other Open World games.

Dragon Age is story driven as well, but I heard the sidequests are really boring and uninteresting (you have to do some quests) unlike Witcher 3 which has so far really good feedback.

If you just want to do the main quest you can do that.

Not necessarily. When you find a notice board in town or overhear comments from NPCs it'll put a "?" on your map. If you dont want that you are free to filter them out.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bloodborne and Witcher 3 releasing within six months of each other...

Nostalgia be damned. This might be the best large western-rpg release period ever.

Pop-in.

I suspect it's going to be more noticeable when actually playing the game than in these videos, specially when outside of forests and stuff.
I'm genuinely surprised that you're not shitting on the footage. The old System Wars Kinthalis would've been doing nothing but that. :P
