Anyone who cares or pays that much attention to these tiny little things is someone who'll never be satisfied with anything.
Console version looks great. Looking forward to this game.
I don't think I will notice any of that unless I was looking for it. Still looks good to me.
Guys guys Xbox version will be fine. It will just have slightly lower vegetation and may have 2 3 fps difference.
Wait, that's an official (NVIDIA) PC shot showing off the graphics?Hahahaha really? You mean PC vs PC with NVidia Works enabled?

With HairWorks + HBAO+
and that second screen is there to show the supposed HBAO+.

The geometry is clearly not as detailed...Lol, not sure if serious, but:
1. Different time of day, different lighting, crack is there in both shots but less visible in the lower.
2. Not even pointing out the same grass. The grass that's clipping through the rock does so in both shots, but is less visible in the upper shot, and the grass that's growing nicely between the rocks isn't even part of the lower shot.
3. Only valid point.

I'm no artist but that first image looks way better then the second, the attention it detail looks incredible.Wait, I thought it was a joke. That comparison is silly. The crack looks better? Haha the angle of the lighting is different and of course that is going to affect how visible the crack is. The other stuff is equally nonsensical. Artists constantly change the design of things throughout development, but that is not a downgrade. I like the changes they made there. The newer screenshot looks better to me.

Why not? It's a valid comparison an concern for people who care. Are you seriously nitpicking about something so minor, in a game so huge.
Wow...this is an whole new level of nit-picking. *shakes head*

Obvious downgrade is obvious:
This is why you should never believe those bullshot trailers.

Yes it is, showing the supposed HBAO+ from NVidia.
Look the other pics in that same article showing HairWorks (which look different from the CDProjekt solution).
The hair, fur and beard look thicker and denser.
This game has some seriously sharpkneeswalls, so disappointing.
They changed Geralt's mount from a majestic bear to a ugly looking horse? Downgrade-a-ton confirmed!
... Where practically everything else we have seen is:

But nope. There are a few blades of grass sticking out of a rock and the edge of a wall is too sharp. Totally ruins the rest and everything else going on.
I guess there is ever a point to upgrade to better hardware then. We all should sit and play our dusty N64
He got it wrong anyway. The grass isn't clipping through the rock, it's growing on top of it (like grass often does). That grass isn't tall enough to clip through a rock that high and poke out the top.
Its not just the huge towering trees. It was the personality of Flotsam. The fallen branches with moss and plants growing over them, the dead trees, roots growing through and over rocks, puddles accumulating in small areas. It just gave off that atmosphere of a living breathing forest.
Its an open world game, I understand that level of craftsmanship is unrealistic. It was just a passing reflection.
I guess you didn't understand my post.
All good though, enjoy playing the game on your PC. I'm sure the nicer cracks on the wall or those luscious green leaves are going to make a HUGE impact to how the game plays. But I'm just a console peasant...what do I know, right?
Aggressive screen tearing in the upper half of the screen when on the horse. Oh well, it'll run better on my PS4 than on my PC anyhow!
Dicking Around in Forests: The Game
The trees seem to be not that large scale wise. That could be what you're seeing. Is it just me or does the world seem small, not map size, but just how Geralt seems bigger than the world? its hard to explain

No. It is not confirmed.
Just speculation, like most discussion about this game.
banned site for posting bullshit multiple times (clickbait "rumors")Edit: for whatever reason the link isn't working, I appogize.
I agree. I think they've intentionally only showed us very limited areas of the game, and that there's far more that they're NOT showing us so we can be properly blown away later while playing. Consider that pretty much every video we've seen these last few weeks has been from the prologue, including these PS4 videos. The size of the game world doesn't mean anything if it all looks the same, and CDPR knows that. That said, this is a very big game and we've really only scratched the surface. I'm almost certain that there will be many types of forests, including some that are more fantastical. Some of the previous screenshots hinted at that.
If that "downgrade" comparison image is true, I wouldn't exactly call it nitpicking; those very little things all create a scene that is more than the sum of its parts, so when you start removing things little by little, it is noticeable. To my eye, the lighting and geometry is clearly worse, particularly the where the two sides of the wall meet.
The real question is whether you're the type of person to let superficial things like this bring down a game that's looking to deliver where it counts.

It's been fixed. Long ago.Upon closer inspection. This.
Although that wall corner does look bad. Noticed it while looking at the Nvidia site.
