The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone |OT| Heroes of Gwent

So my Roach turned purple. Not sure what to think of it, It feels like I'm riding one of My Little Poney's abominations.

lol what's up with that? And no, it's not a problem with my TV's setting, black as always been black. And hell, wasn't Roach brown anyway?

I ended up turning down the difficulty all the way to normal. After playing through most of the main game on Death March I'm just not feeling smashing my head against a wall trying to get through some of these fights.
Especially when I die in just a few hits/seconds and then sit through that fucking loading screen.

I played through the whole game on normal and it didn't negatively affect my experience at all. I really played the game for the exploration and story, so I wanted to just cruise through with ease. Maybe if I replay the story again I will bump it up.

Can't wait to start this DLC tonight.

CD Projekt has a funny definition of "10 hour expansion". I played 17 hours and finally I'm close to the end, but still haven't finished it. 18 hours then?

Damn, I had hoped it was a bug, now it'll just stick like a sore thumb. My Geralt is riding a freaking purple horse for now on, gotta get used to it I guess..

Did you do the part of the story that I spoilered? Just wondering because you made it sound as if the change was out of nowhere. It could be a bug.

On another note, I really, really love the Mastercrafted Wolven gear, but it has serious clipping with Geralt's face and hair which drives me insane. One thing I've loved is that the other armor sets actually affect how Geralt's hair reacts to them, which eliminates a lot of the clipping. I thought that was a neat effect, but it's not in play for the Wolven gear.

As I've said before, the inevitable GOTY release with all the updates, free DLC, Hearts of Stone, and Blood and Wine, is going to be a fucking stupid huge, amazing experience for then first time players.

They said 20 for Blood and Wine, so it will be around 40.

Lol, I just went back to the first choice and checked. Well, if anyone's having an experience similar to mine, deaths are making up a lot of that play time.

Including the QoL fixes to crafting, menus, movement, UI, and everything else, it really is going to be a totally different experience. None of that stuff really bothered me in my playthrough, but having all that stuff from the start would probably blow someone's mind. When I replay this game a few years down the line, I think it's gonna be something else.

Yeah I did, long time ago too. Guess it wasn't as noticeable before, or it really is a bug. Though from the picture of Eatchildren on last page, it sure looks the same to me. Either way,
I'll be sure to take the money in my next game. lol sorry Ciri.

Yeah I know the feel, It's the sole reason why I've changed Geralt's hairstyle from his default one. Though the Mastercrafted Feline gear also has clipping issues with the default hair, so it's not just the Wolven gear that does it.

Some of my favorite screenshots in this game are of things that are relatively mundane but just feel incredibly real.

I have no idea why, but when I'm standing in a field and looking at the forest in the distance, it just feels exactly like how that looks in real life. It looks like an area that was really cleared out by humans, since there's a gradual increase in trees up to the line of the forest. Plus, that's not a border, I can go through those forests. It's a surreal experience and this game is the only one to deliver it so far.

Everytime I step back into this game I am immediately reminded this is hands-down the best game released in 2015 so far, and I literally just spent the past month earning the platinum in Bloodborne which gave me slight pause for consideration. Nope, Witcher 3 is it.

I'm here for the Gwent. What kind of Gwent related quests are there? Are there more opponents to face?

Yeah, two Gwent events so far, and there's a toggleable Hard Mode for Gwent in the options now (or maybe it was in an update I'd missed). It's only slightly harder, but it's probably my fault, as the Temerian deck is OP.

If you're on PC, you can use this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/m...r3/ajax/moddescription/?id=511&preview=&pUp=1

It tucks Geralt's default hairstyle in the neck section of the Wolven armor in the same way as the bear armor does.

EDIT: I know its too early, but I'm already planning for Blood and Wine's OT. In any case, I'd still to see the title suggestions other than my proposed one (''Little Trouble in Big Touissant'')

Post wedding question:
is it possible to visit Shani, and if so where? I've lost track of where I met her in Oxenfurt, and CDPR suck ass at map markers.

Whoever made this is a God among men. And you are too for showing it to me.

You're welcome ;)

I think once we learn a little bit more about who's in it, we can probably come up with a new title. When in doubt, put Gwent in there.

Fair enough

Wait... If I did the pearl exploit they are going to take away most of the money? Thats... absurd. I'm fucked lol

He gives you a chance to weasel out of it by asking if you did it or not... so not really but would take a percentage the money I suppose if you admit to the "crimes"

Hey guys would anyone be willing to test this for me? I know in the expansion you can start with a premade character at lvl 32. Once you finish the expansion content can you take that character into new game plus?

Got an Xbox rewards email about the expansion and content. Buying the game, expansion or combination and completing tasks gets you rewards.

If you bought it before this email, like in our before launch day do you miss out?

My guess is the purchase won't count if made prior to the promo date but completing the tasks should get your rewards.

i thought i would stroll around like a boss because of my level but some fucking nekkers reminded me in DM difficulty you aint hot shit

btw, dat
runecrafting fee
got left with 7K gold after maxing out the levels. i still dont know what to change though, i love perma stunning/freezing too much

I would like to see an alternate costume for Shani that looks something like what she wore in the first game. I don't think it'll happen but it'd be cool.

200

She always reminded me of Peter Pan in the first game because of that costume. Or a boot-leg Poison Ivy.

Few more hours at work. Then God knows how many at the DMV and then home for The Witcher. Sorry real wife, I got monsters to slay and maidens to lay. I'll cast Axii on my wife later and all will be good.

Man, that ghost is something else, from the walking animation,
when Geralt is possessed
, to his dialogue. The wedding was pretty cool, wasn't expecting something like this in this expansion, pleasantly surprised.

Lol, why do I need to download a 4.7 gig update all of a sudden? Looks like it wants to redownload the expansion, and then stops.

EDIT: My DLC install apparently got corrupted. That's odd.

I thought they said 20 hours, but I could be mistaken.

They said the story itself should take around 10 hours give or take some depending on how fast or slow you play. So if you count the side quests, treasure hunts, etc., I can see it taking over 20. They said 20 hours for Blood and Wine but at this point I'm thinking it'll probably be over 30 if Hearts of Stone is any indication.

But yeah I'm well over 10 hours in and I think I'm just around halfway through and have only done ONE sidequest so far. Actually it wasn't even a side quest. It was a treasure hunt.

does anyone have a list of all the new gwent cards for HoS?

don't one to miss one cuz of progressing too much into the expansion...

Here's a link showing them

http://www.gosunoob.com/witcher-3/hearts-of-stone-gwent-cards/

Turns out I actually missed a card but luckily it was still there when I went back.

So, I'm at the step where I need to go to the
wedding
. When I arrive at the village, however, I can't initiate dialogue with Shani. She just stands there and says "yes?"

EDIT: Reloaded an earlier save, that seems to have fixed it.

Wow, gwent is such fucking bs. The game AI is a fucking cheat. I'm fighting those gnomes in gwent and I stomp first round. Second round I get no fucking cards, and they get a hundred of them. It's fucking BS, what am I supposed to do to combat that?
