I asked earlier but got no reply, is there a quest as fantastic as the gathering feathers quest for dude in the hut in Witcher 2?

I got to that one, was thinking "oh great, here come the boring fetch quest, quests" and there was an actual reason for it that made me lol.

If nothing tops that here, w2 > w3

There is one quest that takes the piss on fetch quests, yeah. Goat escort mission.

making them all fight each other with puppet, only having to deal with one in the end

Wish you could pocket oils. Opening the fucking inventory before every battle is tedious as fuck.

Yeah this is one of the things holding back Alchemy as probably the best tree, just alot of fucking around with the inventory. I love preparing for Witcher Contracts but to mess around with the inventory almost every fight to fuly take advantage of your skill tree is tedious.

Wish you got some EXP after defeating enemies outside of conquest.

Am I just going nuts because I've checked multiple times and I'm definitely earning exp for fighting mobs as I run around exploring, yet I've seen people say this many times.

It's not tonnes, I think the most I've got so far is about 7exp per enemy for some level 15 necrophages, but it's definitely happening.

The camera's too zoomed out.
Needs to be closer to geralt.

No way man. That's one of the main reasons I dont like going into Witcher vision mode.. it zooms everything in.

I think there's a mod already that replaces Geralt with Ciri, seems to work around console commands. I haven't tried it yet though.

When a quest/contract is greyed out, does that mean the XP gained from it is reduced? I don't like the idea of skipping content, but pretty much every contract I've found to be forgettable tat... Will give them a miss if the XP sucks.

On another topic I nearly got stuck in one of them water filled holes some people were on about. You can't jump or swim or climb, so I just spammed roll and it worked in the end.

Yeah, you do get exp for killing monsters; more if they are higher level than you. If you have a Viper Sword (Serpentine Sword) and the Noonwraith trophy, they'll give you 10% combined extra EXP from humans and non humans.

I don't think it replaces just his skin, I read that Ciri has all of her basic magic abilities like her blink skill. You also can't fast travel or use a horse like in her gameplay sections.

It makes sense with the alchemy system. Since you only need to craft each thing once, some things need to be a bit more rare and require effort.
