Is there any REAL difference between armour types?
My gear seems to be a mix of Light and Medium, but I've been finding Light armour that's a bit better then my medium armor-wise but I'm hesitant to swap Light for Medium like that.

I love how this game encourages you to use all your signs.
26 hours in and still in Velen...jeez. Level 9.
This game *_*
Think I need to hit bed lol. Upgraded the Griffin armour and weapons to enhanced, created the Feline armor and weapons now I've just got Ursine armor. I shall hunt for the swords tomorrow but it will be awhile before I can build them. Spent all my gold and now have 112 left lol.
So I leave you with some Witcher beauties.

Also, what did the cronesdo to the children? Eat them? Fuck.
People are nicer too, randoms don't spit in my general direction when I walk past them..I cannot get enough of Skellige. Anyone else agree that it's the most gorgeous location in the game. The rugged scenery, the music...it just oozes atmosphere and the sublime. Incredible.

Yup! Love it! Yrden for bears and wolves, Axii for humans, Igni for general purpose use. Haven't come across any airborne enemies (apart from 1), but Aard should be good for them. And finally Quen, which is my most used spell.
.
Have no pics of her yet.No Triss? Epic fail.
No Triss? Epic fail.
You can prevent this but the outcome is also dark
Did you kill the tree? If so yeah. I did the same it was better then the other choice imo.

CDPR has said for a while that they're probably going to continue the series but this is the last one with Geralt. So will there be a witcher 4?
I just want to slaughter the whole village when that happens...
Igni is super good against bears too.
But ,yeah, this game has the best signs implementation across the witcher games by far.
EDIT : I am curious, are you playing with "?" and quest direction enabled or disabled on the map ?
Light gives a boost to how fast health regens. Heavy slows it down
Armor ratings are mostly the same. It's the resistances and other bonuses (including the armor talents in the General tree) that sets them apart.
And looks, of course.
I need to stop worrying so much about outcomes, and just let the game play out based on whatever I feel is right. Right now I want yo know what happens every time lol. Not as organic that way.

Yeah, I used some Igni the first time I fought a bear. I am much more efficient at taking them out now though.
And I am playing "?" off. Once I explore the whole area and think I've explored enough, I'll turn them on to see what I've missed. How about you?
Food/ potion or the skill you can unlock.Regen from potions/food, right?
I would bet yes, after the success of W3.
But I don't know how they could possibly do a worthy sequel, I feel this is too perfect as an experience that it's almost impossible to beat even by CDPR themselves. One can only hope.
Nice.
I just got to Velen. I am thinking about turning all these markers and quest trackers off and see what I can do.
So did you do all the quests without tracking them too ?
Since I got ignored last time, I'll ask again:
Out of curiosity, can you activate the Steam version of The Witcher 3 on GoG like TW1 and 2?
Do you think Ciri is a strong enough character to pull it off?
Nope.
Art book is about 1.5 cm thick and amazing with such rich illustrations! Going to save it for when I finish the game due to spoilers which they warn you about on the first page:
Witcher medallion is made of metal and weighs 91 g, thus feels decently solid:
Gwent decks feel premium and bring the virtual masterpiece to reality!:
Statue looks great and is a decent size and pretty weighty. Geralt's face lacks some fine detail as others have posted but only doesn't look great when you've got it like an inch from your face. From a regular viewing distance, you can't even notice. The sword and tail are removable which helps prevent it from breaking off during transport:
Here's a closer shot of Geralt for those interested:
More pictures of the CE are in the following album: https://www.flickr.com/gp/130992642@N03/2r35Rq
Ahh, what happened to Geralt's hair!?
Yeah, I think you'll enjoy the exploration more if you turn off the "?". What level did you leave Wild Orchard at? Did you do everything there? I started Velen last night.
Some of the quests I completed I wasn't even trying to complete lol. Just exploring. But I did track a few. I like to at least have the Main Quest tracked so I know where not to go XD

My collector's edition arrived today! Warner Brothers decided that Canada would not receive any CEs, thus I had to get one off of Ebay and, to reduce the cost, went with an Xbox One version since PC ones were both rarer and more expensive. Here's a few pics I took.
Yrden to make her corporeal and have her take full damage (same with all nightwraiths). And... the sword is made of silver, of course it'll dull faster. This is the first time I'm getting my ass kicked on normal difficulty, with thequest. Namely,Jenny O The Woodshow on earth am I supposed to beat her at level 11/12? I don't do nearly enough damage, and I'm still using the crafted silver sword from the prologue (haven't found another one yet). Also, why is my silver sword decreasing in durability so fast?
I'll miss the polish Solid Snake.

The box is HUGE and the outer cover comes off to reveal a black box with just the wolf head on it if you don't want the branding, content summary, and any words showing:

Edit: Okay, those pictures are huge. Going to make them smaller.
I did all my white orchard stuff with tracking and "?" enabled .Then I got to velen and ran into the first basic quest where you get oil to burn stuff.Only found one of that stuff to burn so far ,but I suppose if I turn tracking on,the game will tell me where the rest of them are.
So I am really just starting to play the game without these things.I believe I am level 3 or 4 last I checked.
I'd love to have that medallion and Gwent deck. Don't need the statue or art book, and the former always drives up these editions way out of my price range.
I can't take people who have the Kutcher or the punk Geralt look seriously ^^ it just doesn't fit at allGross, right?
That hair is not canon!
