I just finished (mid game? spoilers)
The Baron
quest line.

Man... Things did not go great for me. I figured saving
the tree spirit
was an iffy proposition, but curiosity and a hatred for
the crones
got the better of me.

Hehe, mid game he thinks.

One thing i would love for the devs to patch in is to be able to read books without picking them up. I love reading books but hate having to go into the inventory and find them and later sell/drop em.

I'm waiting for a mod that adds the any related quests as a label for books/letters and tells you when looting if you already have it, and a mod that sorts Quests by completion order.

Yeah, that's a good idea actually. Maybe map it to the analog stick like they do when you get a new quest.

I think I have a Dutch copy but the back description of the game is in English. I can only set the language to English, Polish, Hungarian, Czech and Russian.

Based on the link in the OP the languages available for the UK version are:

Text: Russian/Czech/Hungarian/English/Polish
VO: English/Russian/Polish
Print: English+Quickstart Swedish/Finnish/Dutch/Portuguese

All platforms share the same language availability, so this would apply to the PS4. Looks like it lacks the Spanish subs.

Thanks a lot for the info, guys. That's... bad. It means I will have a hard time selling it, and I can't play it with the missus either. :(

Ah well, thanks again!

So.. Who is your favorite character in the game (Geralt not included). I think for me it's a tie between Cerys and Zoltan.

You've got good taste, it's Zoltan for me. He was my favorite in W2 as well.

The voice acting for Zoltan is really good in this game, you can hear a lot of nuances in his dialouge if you listen carefully.

Impossible. I like them all. Ciri, Yen, Zoltan, Cerys, Baron, Lambert especially.

Then there's Crach, Philippa (she's an all around horrible person, but I love her) and Keira (let's face it: all sorceresses are awesome!). And Dijkstra is one of the most intriguing characters in the game (until
he turns into a total idiot in the final act
). I think the characters are so well done in this game that it's easier to name those that don't leave a lasting impression. Even minor characters are interesting, for example the King of Beggars or Caleb Menge.

The game is just very good at confounding your expectations towards its characters and I like it when games do this. The Baron is probably the best example, but I also liked Morvran Voorhis. When he first appears, I immediately thought: Oh well, here comes the incompetent aristocratic general / right hand man, who's probably going to be a total dick down the line. Couldn't have been more wrong; sure, he's very aristocratic, but he's also clearly very capable, intelligent and reasonable.

I picked the the one of choosing to kill the tree spirit. Apparently that leads to what is supposed to be the
"Happy" ending.

I still want to kill those 3 witches and the game never gives you the option to do so. I bet they would be a great fight, and I'm severely disappointed that I couldn't do so. They would be overpowered as hell though.

I'm expecting we will see them again in Witcher 4 considering how this game likes to save content for future games like that.

Ummm
you do kill them later.

After 50-60 hours I finally decided to set foot on Skellige.

This is area is just on a whole other level. Amazing. Velen is harsh and sad for a reason but it feels like such a breath of fresh air after that war torn section.

It reinvigorated my love for this game another thousand fold.

But
you do kill at least two of them, and the third in the bad ending
.

Gives me chills. I'm both looking forward to and dreading returning that that quest when I play through the game again. Only time I really felt helpless while playing as Geralt.

Spoilers regarding the Lady of the Forest quest:
Just because of the damn song, I freed the evil spirit. It wasn't even about the kids. That music with Evil Spirit' s dialogue led me to free it. So beautiful, yet so sad.

Got two questions about the game guys. Quest name might be spoilerish so i will just say that I nearly completed Skellige questline.

The quest about taking Uma

1- Will I lose any secondaries or contracts if I start this quest?
2- How much is left? %?

I love Dijkstra. There's a great dynamic going on between him and Geralt, a combination of respect and distrust and a lot of sarcasm.

There will be no Witcher 4.

It'll be titled
Zirael: Through Time and Space
. Believe it.

Oh.. So the monsters I fought right after were them?

I thought they got away or something like that.

edit: Read up on them in the wikia. NOOOWW. I understand.
And f**k I don't want the bad ending to happen, but I want to fight the 3rd witch. I'm so making multiple saves just for this fight.

1. You will lose The Last Wish and nothing else, so complete that one first.
2. Quite a bit, 35%+.

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I feel like this game will never end. Still having this feeling, because there are quests and questionmarks everywhere and most of it is so interesting. I mean Novigrad is such a huge city, there alone is so much to discover.
Level 16 now and I feel like the game just started.

The dialogues, the characters, the world, the music ... are amazing. Especially when I compare it with DA: I, it is so obvious how a great RPG should be like.

I haven't touched the game for weeks. Probably still in Novigrad.

Why oh why do they make that area/quest arc so dull. When do I get to roam the woods again instead of trudging through city streets?

I agree. That "get junior" questline is incredibly dull but it also just comes right after that bloody baron questline, which is by far the best main quest since a very long time in videogames.

So I already got Cat gear, but I'm level 11 :(

I'm at the Dreamer quest in Novigrad. How do I level the hell up so I can start wearing my feline armor (lvl 14)?

Just finished the game and i am ... Uh... Confused...

ok so Ciri saved everyone but died because it seems i did not visit the emperor when i should. But that is not what is bothering me.

What is, is that according to guides and since i clearly romanced yennefer and did not touch Triss, my Geralt is forever alone and i got the ciri medallion scene? Guides imply that even if Ciri dies Geralt csn ride off with his romance...

Wtf is up with that? Can someone enlighten me?

You can "trudge through the woods" anytime. Just take a ship to Skellige. Explore or do the story missions there simultaneous with the Novigrad story stuff
