I'm going through a couple of sources now. Let's see what comes out of it. Do the same!
That would suck.thegodsend said:400-450
but there is hope that it could be a bit lower after final negotiations with Redmond.

I think the "Xbox 360 HD Pack" will probably be priced accordingly compared to whatever PS3 comes in at. Maybe not the same per se but I could deifinitely see PS3 @ $349.99 and 360 HD @ $399.99 (with the plain 360 holding at $299.99).sp0rsk said:60 dollars for an hd-dvd and "etc"?
i believe that your source is from bizarro world.
I'll take the lifetime-ban challenge on this one..I could deifinitely see PS3 @ $349.99 and 360 HD @ $399.99

No, I fully expect the HD-DVD backed 360 to be (slightly) more expensive than PS3. Toshiba's likely subsidising the drive costs for MS, but not nearly by the same amount as Sony is internally for BD I'd wager.fugimax said:I'll take the lifetime-ban challenge on this one..
360 will *never* be more expensive than PS3. *NEVER*
I dunno, it allows the consumer a choice (unlike PS3) and also gives MS the premium card (more expensive = better) to a slight degree. Certainly not an airtight strategy, but it could definitely play into Microsoft's favor with consumer perception if handled right.mrklaw said:Ha! I'd love that. That would be MS basically telling everyone that PS3 is a bargain at that price. You get your bluray and wifi built in, and if we bundle accessories to give an equivalent experience, it'll cost way more. Go buy Sony!
Seriously, I don't think thats a good call for MS.
But are YOU willing to take the lifetime-ban challenge??No, I fully expect the HD-DVD backed 360 to be (slightly) more expensive than PS3. Toshiba's likely subsidising the drive costs for MS, but not nearly by the same amount as Sony is internally for BD I'd wager.
