That's a very, very solid launch, imo. Maybe no true AAA killer app like Halo, but those kinds of games are very rare to begin with. The nice thing is that there are no absolute turds and lots of quality stuff in a wide range of genres.

Yeah, really looking forward to this one. EB said this game will finally come in on the 22nd. I think this is the last of the launch games to get to reviewers hands. I'm hoping it will be a sleeper hit!

my guess is that a magazine has exclusive rights to the first King Kong reviews until a certain date.... either that or perhaps the game has not yet passed certification, and the only review that has been posted so far was of an incomplete version of the game ..

Yeah, I'd really like to know what's up with King Kong.

My EB says they've had it in stock since last week, but have a strict embargo on it until tomorrow. I'm tempted to pick it up based on the strong previews, but am probably not going to do so unless some reviews surface this evening.

AFAIK, Condemned has basically minimal online component (nothing except for achievements, I think) (I'm not 100% sure, though)

Since when is 8.3 considered a gem?

PGR3 with a 9.0 average, yes, thats a gem
Call of Duty 2, 8.9 average, yeah, its close but i'd call it a gem
PD0 with a 8.3 average, no thats not a gem

Personally, > 9 average = AAA
> 8 average = AA
< 7 average = average
< 6 average = only the most diehard fans of a series/genre
< 5 average = crap

They loved it but it didnt last long enough

They pretty much thrashed it and blamed EA for being lazy due to exclusive license

Call of Duty 2 -- 5 out of 5

They loved it. Best WW2 FPS ever. A must play
