They stayed on track after they pushed the next skater is what I heard.
From the replay it looks like one of the Chinese skaters in the infield who was not skating or waiting to skate got in the way of the Korean

Canadians are used to skating on much better ice. That's why they are all crashing. Not used to this shitty soft and chunky ice.
Fourcade was behind him in the same lane until the end - Svendsen said he didn't know he was that close. A mistake but an honest one, not about bad attitude.

I'm sure he wasn't being arrogant about it, but I find it silly to ever risk a gold because you found it necessary to celebrate before the finish line. Leave it for after the finish line, no exceptions.

So the Norwegians straight up refused to go the 10k because they would have no chance to medal? What does Norway-GAF think of this? Apparently Norway is angry.

Says a lot about what has happened with the sport in Norway the last 10 years. There's been too much non-sport drama with coaches, sponsors. Too much negativity. Needs fresh blood in the leadership before the sport dies out completely. Not that I think the Dutch dominance will end in any case.
Putting the pursuit after the 10k is stupid. The field would be better if it was the last event.
I understand the guys there now want to focus on team pursuit. But a skater who could do well enough on 10km sits home in Norway watching the games on TV. And Bøkko could've trained for it. And there's been a fair bit of criticism, including from Koss, of the lack of program for athletes who want to do longer races. Especially considering the tradition we have for it, it's kind of sad.
Sven Kramer commented on the withdrawl of the Norwegians. He didn't care much for the the ones who withdrew. He only deemed the Dutch, Swings and Lee good enough for the podium. But he thought it was sad that the Norwegians who could actually compete with him and would have a chance on a medal were on the bench at home.
