Don't feel dumb. They did not look like a gold medal team when 1-2. Also listen to the commentator right now on CBC. Jacobs was basically an unknown a year ago and went into the Brier not even in the top 3 teams. So nothing to feel dumb about. A lot of people had those same doubts.

The same German biathlon team won in december. This is the worst race I'v ever seen for Germany since I follow this sport, pretty crazy. Not a single medal for them and a doping incident on top.

A couple of years ago we dominated this sport with Neuner, Wilhelm, Henkel and a couple of others who could win races.

Honestly, this has been one of the less exciting curling matches I've seen this week. So many mistakes by Britain. It's most impressive when both teams are pulling off really tough shots. The first few ends of China vs Canada in the round robin comes to mind.
