After seeing this video at Nintendo's conference, I think it's safe to say that this game is looking to be a winner!

Gameplay looks fun and it certainly looks hard enough to be interesting. This should scratch that Ouendan/EBA itch quite nicely

I just hope that we get some rearranged music as well and not just the original music from the FF series.

The graphics are absolutely adorable; the gameplay looks a lot like Ouendan, and unlike most rhythm games it has music that I actually like so it definitely has me interested

Yeah, if it wasn't for all the other cool stuff coming up this'd be my most anticipated 3DS game. I can understand why others wouldn't be interested, but it's checking all the right boxes for me.

They seem determined to drive me away from FF...to be honest, I think I might move on from the series if Versus fails to meet my expectations... The game itself could be enjoyable enough, but the sheer amount of crap being released under the ff name, including the main line titles sadly (FFXIII was flashy but shallow in all senses of the word)...quantity over quality I suppose.

I don't get it all people complaining about this game (again).
No one will force you to buy it and it's unlikely it drove effort away from other projects, since it is developed by an external team (i.e. indieszero). It's a rhythm'n'game, there are many tracks in Final Fantasy series which fit well in a title like this.
Moreover, why are you worrying about this when Square has always tried to exploit Final Fantasy franchise to seel (FF Legend, Chocobo Racing, Ergheiz)... Did these game prevent you to enjoy Final Fantasy VII and Vagrant Story?

Just watched one of the new videos for this. As much as I really am looking forward to this, I'm confused as to why this is a 3DS game and not a DS game.

More so, because I'd rather import a copy with Japanese music and I won't be able to since the game will be region locked. But still, why couldn't this be done on the DS? =/

Wouldn't the only real difference be if they include the Leona Lewis song from XIII? I mean apart from that, there's the English recordings of the songs from X-2 and the theme from (lol) Crystal Chronicles, but they're pretty much the same tracks.

Both of these are valid points. I would think though that the install base for DS titles being so much larger would make sales higher automatically.

Higher quality music though makes quite a bit of sense.

This was easily one of the most awesome things I played at TGS after the Persona 4 fighting game. I went into it having absolutely no reason to care about it, and walked out having it be one of the few games that actually make me want a 3DS.
