There Came An Echo (Kickstarter) - Feep, Ronald Jenkees,Wil Wheaton [Cash in da bank]

I'm sure many of us feel we kinda owe you for Sequence. I know I did.

What actually determines a pledge as 'coming from' a given source, anyway? Use of the Referer tag? I didn't actually pledge via a link from GAF; I'm wondering if the KS site thinks I'm just a random passerby then.
Yeah, almost certainly. If anything, I'm pretty sure NeoGAF is significantly underrepresented here :)

Congrats Guys!

I pledged, I'm looking forward to it. I think the idea of voice controls, and abstracting the control structure of a strategy game has tremendous potential, I'm really looking forward to it.

Yo this livestream party is gonna be off the chain

Everyone is gonna be drunk on mimosas and bacon

And we have karaoke

No live instrumentation? D'aaaw.

Oh man my pledge was almost worth it alone by hearing you trying to pronounce my name, Feep.

And congrats, looking forward to seeing more from this.

Congrats! I was hoping that it would be more successful, but hitting 115k is pretty fucking impressive.

I am sorry = (
Congrats Feep!

I pledged $60 for the chance to audition, any idea when the auditions in LA will be held?
Probably August!
PayPal is up.

Did Feep sing?
A little. We had technical issues with the mics.

Can't believe we hit the stretch goal! What a crazy last push! <3

How the hell do I get linked to every shitty kickstarter 40 times but one that looks great, made by someone who already made a game I liked "sequence" goes under my radar.

What's going on with this game?

Last backer update from August 19th:

"OH MAN WE'RE IN ALPHA.

After some incredible hard work from our team, There Came an Echo is officially playable from start to finish! Cutscenes and textures and voiceover and lots of other things are still in the works, but we got ourselves a GAME. And an awesome game it is.

That said, to temper expectation, there is *no plan to allow alpha or beta access to backers*. We understand this might be disappointing, but we believe firmly in releasing a polished, beautiful product into the world. For a single-player game that's largely narrative-driven, the last thing we want to do is ruin that experience with a subpar, buggy, unprofessional preview. In addition, we're vary wary of tons of spoilers leaking into the environment...There Came an Echo has plenty of surprises, and we want those to be fresh to everyone come day of release.

We'll be hammering down launch plans shortly as we begin polishing, voiceover session work, and localization. We're getting close! We'll be posting a gameplay video from the alpha in our next update."
