The Christopher Nolan Batman movies.
They're fine.
Even mashed potatoes aren't that good unless you put tons of butter and cream in it.
Pizza
Ice cream
Chocolate
They use milk instead of cream and don't use a lot of butter. At least that's the way most people cook it in Sweden. So how everyone makes mash potato then........so it is good
What psycho just mashes it and serves plain?
I’m more shocked that anyone’s taking that persona seriously considering we all grew up watching DegrassiDrakes an excellent one, its literally some of the shittest music of the last few years, and he's a got beta'd by rhi rhi hahaha
Watching what?I’m more shocked that anyone’s taking that persona seriously considering we all grew up watching Degrassi
Drake was a child actor on a TV show called Degrassi making something like 50k an episode as he was a main character. He pretty much bought his way into a rap career and I’m not mad at him, but the persona doesn’t work for me lol.Watching what?

Have You seen The Prestige ?I see your Batman and raise you a Christopher Nolan movies, full stop. Technically proficient, lacking in heart and soul!
Have You seen The Prestige ?
I'll basically sign of on this, but the batman movies stand out because Nolan's extremely self-serious style clashes with the subject matter. There's something inherently paradoxical about making an extremely serious movie about a man in a rubber bat suit who fights crime. I'd say the Dark Knight is the only really good one because it had the joker and there was something very meta about him asking "why so serioussss" in an extremely tense, somewhat dour movie. But really comic book movies work best if they take more liberties with realism, both in story and setting. I think the Burton movies will stand the test of time better in the end.I see your Batman and raise you a Christopher Nolan movies, full stop. Technically proficient, lacking in heart and soul!
I really love Prestige and Interstellar.Ive been meaning to rewatch that one as i remember liking it. I don't hate Nolan, I enjoyed Batman Begins quite a bit. But his films really leave me cold for the most part. A Prestige rewatch is on the cards though for sure.

Yeah I was just thinking how something high-concept like Dune would have been a much more natural fit for Nolan. Maybe while we're at it we can get Villeneuve to go for Batman, I'm pretty sure he could take it in a fresh direction... you could basically just drop some future version of batman in the blade runner world and he'd fit right in there LOLHallelujah and amen.
The thing I liked about Batman Begins (its been ages since i saw it) is the set design was a bit more garish and over the top, whereas the two next ones were almost totally stripped of that gothic almost cartoonlike Gotham atmosphere. But you totally describe here why Nolan just hasn't generally worked for me. Self serious is fine if you can give me compelling characters with heart, and i haven't found those in alot of his movies, personally.

Villeneuve is a great example, to me, of someone who generally gets technical and character right. Although I agree Nolan might be able to crank out a decent Dune, I'm sure glad it's in Denis' hands and I'm psyched to see his version!
I'm conflicted on this.Football (American, Canadian, Soccer, whatever) its all just watching a bunch of dudes chase after a ball.
George Clooney. He's a shit actor.
In general, I don’t see the appeal of obviously fake anything. Even when it’s real, it’s all about proportion. Stupidly big arses don’t do anything for me. Fake tits that look like someone chopped a sphere in half and glued them on are the worst. Lip injections look horrible.Kim Kardashian
The what?The Olde False Gods
I’m torn on this one because it depends on the question. Sometimes it makes sense to ask people because it’s more nuanced or complex, but sometimes it would have been much quicker and easier to Google your question and get an instant answer than it would have been to ask (or worse, post on a message board).... People who go on Reddit help forums and discord channels just to smirk and tell people to search Google, i know that's not entirely relevant to this thread but come the fuck on your thindicks , really.
What can i say... Totally get where you're coming from, but still don't like it.I’m torn on this one because it depends on the question. Have you tried the fan edit? Or the three part series? (And it and the book's sequel?) Or reeding the book?I appreciate it, I just don't get the hype......looks boring as fuck. Take the new film, just looks bland and pretentious. Its a weird one because I should like it, being a huge sci fi fan. Perhaps its was the lynch film that put me off, not hard , considering its a mess of a film
