Ken Bone, for a number of reasons:

  • It became a meme in the first place because of people making fun of his name and sweater, which is kind of a shitty thing to do
  • he became the go-to voter to interview on cable TV despite not having anything to say (he's never going to tell anyone who he voted for because he'll be harassed by the other political party, he was just on TV because "haha look it's Ken Bone!")
  • He is now using his 15 minutes of fame for election-centric IZOD commericals that are plastered all over twitter and I hate them

Pretty much everything involving Twitch chat. It's fine in its natural habitat, where you can ignore it or just tune it out. It all moves so fast anyway that it basically just turns into noise. But when it crops up elsewhere.....ugh.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, I guess, though I'm a giant hypocrite and legitimately love the "To be Continued..." meme. But people push that shit way too hard; it's a great series but I don't really like the super internet-y, meme addled fanbase it's gotten in the last few years. Maybe that makes me a hipster, IDK, but it's lost something.

The whole Member Berry thing from South Park. Not agreeing with nostalgically inclined arguements is all well and good but I can't stand when anyone uses a meme to make their arguement for them rather than actual critical thinking. And it's becoming distressingly common. South Park is pretty bad about these sorts of things, the whole Turd vs. Douche thing was equally bad.

Any political meme really. But its weird seeing people who hate Donald Trump parroting him incessantly.

I don't know if I'll be able to hear someone describe anything as "a mess" ever again without wondering if they're engaging in fuckery.

They tend to be overused in a very obnoxious, "This meme doesn't really apply to this situation..." sort of way
