Most picture viewers have a "zoom out" feature. Continue zooming out until the entire picture can be seen.

Picture editors like Picasa, iPhoto, or Microsoft Picture Manager (I think that's the name of it) may be of some assistance.

To make the URL tiny. Some links can be exorbitantly long. i.e. Facebook, or a blog entry with the title in the URL.

there are a few more reasons:

warez groups are hunted via the links, with google help. so, in order to hide what they posted, for example:

RAPIDSHARE LINK FOR DOWNLOADING WINDOWS 7 FOR FREE

rapidshare.com/this and that in url/windows7free.rar

they "hide it" in tiny urls.

and, there is a password option for linkers - some forums dont want to share what is posted, so when you click on the link - it leads you to a link, and you have to type a pass to get to the actual link.

first one - it is a lame attempt of british people to redefine social statuses of intellectuals. some of them were opposed to standard intellectual aknowledgements, like - harward degrees, and such shit. it proposed that intuition of a person is more important than the knowledge.

second - dollar is a value that is accepted as the world's value, when international money transfers and calculations are made. it is standardized, so there would be no calculation loss, and it is standard as in NYC, so as in Frankfurt (european trade center)

Ah. Windows requires the images to be in .ico format. There's a batch converter called png2ico which (obviously) converts PNGs to ICO files, allowing the use of them as icons in Windows.
