How do I disable this ? (I will post this question on every page for the ten following years because I can't find anyone able to give me a clue. Wtf is this shit Google ?!)
Go to the bottom on YouTube's front page, next to 'Safety Mode: On', click it, and click, 'Off'?

I've been looking into Youtube's options and faqs and through google search for two weeks now and you're the first that can point this to me. I'm amazed to see how easy it's finaly done, but how badly this is indicated by Youtube. Thanks a lot man

I was lying down in my computer chair with my feet on my desk and accidentally hit the keyboard with my feet and it changed the size of the text on this site so I can barely read it. How do I fix the text size? It's only on this site.

i have a question for you gaf. when somebody asks you to tell somebody hello for them do you ever actually follow through? i don't think i have ever followed through. am i the only one?
Generally when someone asks that, it's just an afterthought. But there are other times people follow through.

So the other night I heard my frito lay scoops bag crinkling in the living room while I was trying to fall asleep. I go out there just in time to spot a mouse go flying off my bag and run off behind the fridge.
Yesterday I set up some human mouse traps in the house but the store didn't sell any bait for it.
So I stood in front of the various aisles of the quickie mart staring at the various foods trying to figure out what to use as bait. I knew peanut butter worked, but I was determined to be stubborn and try something different.
Suddenly a little voice in my head said, "Mice like ding dongs, get some ding dongs."

So I did.

Turns out mice don't like ding dongs. I have no idea how I came to the conclusion they do.

So my question is, besides peanut butter and the cliche'd "cheese" is there anything gaf recommends to use to lure the mouse into the trap?

I think your problem is that you used a human as a mouse trap.

you have no idea how hard it was to find someone whose ding dong was skinny enough yet long and bendy enough to fit in that damn trap.

is there a way to save all the photo's from someone's myspace page without having to manually click-n-save each one?

I got my Lost Final Season Soundtrack CD in the mail today, but I can't seem to get CDex to find the CDDB entry for the second disc. Is there any easy way to fix that?

My stupid question is why is variety important for a mouse trap?

I wish I could help but everyone I know uses cheese or peanut butter. They seem to work.

EDIT: I forgot, someone used fruit or vegetable too. I think it was a grape.

I've actually heard that bubblegum works too. The kind without the candy shell.

I've been thinking about getting Noby Noby Boy recently and I really liked Katamari Damacy so I figured I could spend $5 for it. However, Castlevania: SotN is also $5 this week. I know many of you reading this probably are shouting Castlevania in your heads, but before I do something I just want to ask a question. I haven't played many Castlevania games; in fact the only one I've ever played is Circle of the Moon. I completed it and it was good, but I didn't love it. Towards the end, I felt as though I was finishing it just to be done with it instead of completing it because I was enjoying it. So, is it likely I will enjoy SotN or is there a chance I may feel the same as I did with CotM?

Also, what's the general consensus for NNB?

Well since it was going for Frito Scoops in the first place, why not put one of those in there? Or won't it fit?

How do you guys save up for big things? (Tv, console, bike, car etc.)
Do you leave it on your bank account, transfer it to another one or just save it up at home?

Put it in a savings account, or...

Sack up and just don't spend it.

Peanut butter is the be-all end-all of mouse bait. Don't even bother with cheese.

Why is it that you want something different? Is it for the mouse's sake or yours?

P.S.
Kill the motherfuckers, or they will just come back.

there is a mouse glue - a cool stuff to capture mouses, and eventually do with them what you want - use a piece of wood, or an old plate or something, and putt it somewhere where mouses run - and they will stuck to a glue.

i believe that glue can be purchased in various stores.

I had to learn that a bunch of years ago... you'll have to use Tab to move "Page X" and then apply some funky setting to it. I'd find out in like ten seconds if I had Word at hand... :lol

I was told that wetting a New Era fitted baseball cap will give it a better fit. Is this true?

I don't really like the way my hat fits right now. I've got a 7 1/2, but I think my dome is shaped weirdly since there is open space beneath the "team" panel in the front.

You'll play Noby Noby Boy for 5 minutes a day for about a week then forget about it, because it's shit.

I replaced my cyan cart for my Epson NX300. Now when I try and print, it's only printing blank sheets.

Any help, because I need to start studying for a test. :(

EDIT-NM. Since the printer kept printing blank pages, for some reason, the magenta ink is now pretty much gone. Now I have to replace that one. Didn't want to since I was going to switch to black ink only. :(

Safe to keep Tomato ketchup and Salad cream out of the fridge after it's been opened?

Ketchup yes, Salad Cream not so much, but keeping both in the fridge extends their shelf life exponentially.

I've got a question perfect for this thread :lol

Is it possible for electronic devices to work without any wires? So a functional TV, for example, without the need of a power cable, HDMI cable etc etc. Could that be possible? I'm looking at the mess of wires in my room and i would love to live in a wireless world :D

I can't find any images now, but I've seen pics from the last IFA of a completely wireless TV.
Even power, yes.

But I don't think it will be mass market for the next few years.

It fits, but barely, and it takes up so much space the mouse could probably eat it without entering the actually trap area. Plus I throw them away after he took a nibble, worried that he might have shat in the bag.

Just to be a pain in my own ass. I thought it would be interesting to see if something else worked as well as peanut butter.

I haven't seen the mouse since that night though. Wonder if he went to go find some more frito scoops.

Ive seen mice who chewed their own legs off to get out of glue traps, this is something I don't want to wake up and find.

How did old feature films (like from the '40s and such) insert credits without the use of computers?

Pretty sure all that old stuff was hand lettered on a transparent plate.

I just found out that I can't view members' posts and threads from their profiles--not even mine! Why did this happen?

Too much pressure on the servers, so profile topic/post searching is disabled. It happened quite awhile ago. You can still use the Google search in the top right.

You have no idea how right you are, although some people would likely insist on replacing the word "interesting" with "fucking fucked the fucked up"

"In the REALLY old days, titles were painted on large sheets of glass and just held in front of the camera. The background was photographed through the glass.

In the early 60's art titles over live action backgrounds were created using animation cells and animation camera stands and mattes and optical printers.

An artist would draw the title which would then be transferred to a clear animation cell and painted as required. The cell would be photographed on an animation camera stand using color film and top lights over a black background.

The same cell would then be photographed on the same animation camera (without moving anything) with the top lights turned off and the lights under the animation stand turned on. High contrast black & white film would be used. The result would be piece of film with a clear center where the title is and black all around. This piece of film would then be contact printed to another piece of high contrast black and white film. The result would be a black title area with clear all around it.

These high contrast black and white pieces of film are called mattes. The clear center matte is called the cover matte and the black center matte is called the holdout matte.

Both background negative and the title negative are printed to color intermediate film to create interpositives.

The interpositive of the background is sandwiched with the holdout matte. This is then photographed on an optical printer. An optical printer is just a fancy camera that is designed to photograph another piece of film directly. The resulting negative image would be the background scene with an unexposed area where the title goes. But this film is not developed yet.

The film in the camera is backed up to the beginning and the interpositive of the title is sandwiched with the cover matte. This is then rephotographed on top of the background image on the optical printer. This results in the color title being exposed into the unexposed window created by the holdout matte."

GAF, is there a way (preferably on the Interwebs) to know on which runway at a given airport a commercial aircraft will land? I'm especially thinking of Frankfurt - Beijing LH720, which is operated with a big-ass A380.

I think that stuff is usually determined on the spot by the Air Traffic Controller. Although a lot of airports probably only have one runway that can support the largest commercial jets.

Ha that's a good clue, didn't think about that. Beijing Airport is freaking huge and probably has more than 1 heavy load runway, but I'll investigate on that way. Thanks :D

If you're trying to get photographs, maybe talk to the airport and explain.

Does anyone know of a firefox app that allows me to change the size of fonts by website? I got a small HDTV as a monitor and text sometimes is hella small.

command and -/+ (on a Mac) will make the text bigger or smaller. I think it's control and -/+ for PC.

I made a ham and american cheese sandwich on multigrain bread with mayo and mustard at around 3PM yesterday. It is now 3AM, exactly 12 hours later and I just noticed exactly one half of the sandwich still remains. The bread is pretty hard, but it still smells fine enough.

Good to eat? y/n/maybe?

I spilled a fair amount of water on my keyboard.

To my surprise, it still worked. However, after a few hours, the keys started getting sticky, hard-to-press. I decided to throw some more water between the keys. It worked, the keys were fine again. A few hours later, they start to get sticky again.

I'm caught in this cycle, where every few hours I have to throw water in my keyboard. Any ideas? I'm not sure if I can open this beast up. Will WD-40 do the trick? Hmm.

Is it just a regular keyboard? Just pop off the keys with a flathead screwdriver and clean the thing out. Then just pop the keys back on.
