Can't use whatever is built into Opera or Firefox? I use the mail client in Opera, seems to do the trick.

You can set up a forwarding system to gmail if you don't want to use an actual program.Jimmy Stav said:What's a good, light weight mail client for Windows 7? I'll be running it on a netbook.

Nope. That's part of searching and searching is disabled. You can use the custom Google search and look for your name, but that's about it.CoffeeJanitor said:Is there any way to look at your own post history on here?
So does that mean there really isn't a way to keep track of past discussions? It's hard to know if people are debating with you when you don't even know where you posted last.Schmattakopf said:Nope. Orellio said:Super important, no. But they are on par with the main game, and Extraction Point continues with the same character from FEAR1, unlike Perseus Mandate and FEAR2, so they are not completely without merit.
AcciDante said:Are they shorter than FEAR1? I guess I'll just play them.
Their called TLD names if you were having trouble searching for them.Ermac said:Does anyone know where I can buy domain names like examp.le or neog.af ? I want to get my name (it's fairly unique).

And what are latinos "latinos" anyway? Because the Spanish language stems from Latin? If so, why don't European Spaniards, Italians, etc. refer to themselves as latinos?

It's the one where the guy couldn't work out why no one at his workplace liked him and then went on to explain how he is a total douche to his colleagues, wears a suit on casual friday because he is better than everyone else, and completely kisses the boss's arse.
It was hilarious, but I can't find it.

Whenever I think of old-style shopping or advertising music, it's what comes to mind, but I have no idea what it's called. It's a vague description, but does anybody know what the name of this kind of music is, or any composers of said kind of music? Thanks.
wikipedia said:The theme song is a piece of production music called "Temptation Sensation" by German composer Heinz Kiessling. Additionally, Kiessling's work ("On Your Bike" and "Blue Blood") can also be heard during various scene transitions throughout the show, along with other composers and pieces such as Christopher Movick ("Off Broadway"), Joe Brook ("Moonbeam Kiss") and Karl Grell ("Honey Bunch"). Many of the tracks heard in the series have been taken from Cafe Romantique, an album of easy listening production music collected by Extreme Music, the production music library unit of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Independent record label, Fervor Records has also contributed music to the show. Songs from The Jack Gray Orchestra's album, Easy Listening Symph-O-Nette ("Take A Letter Miss Jones", "Golly Gee Whiz", and "Not a Care in the World") and the John Costello III release Giants of Jazz ("Birdcage", "Cotton Club" and "Quintessential") are heard in several episodes. The soundtrack, featuring most of the music heard on the show was released on September 1, 2010,[12] the same day that Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney's son Axel Lee McElhenney was born.[13]

They shouldn't be using explosion. An object at that speed hitting our atmosphere causes immense, sudden friction that makes it fracture and break apart.awesomeapproved said:Kind of a science-y one. Maybe it belongs in the Space thread.
Here goes:
Every time I see an astronomy documentary or something on tv thats about asteroid impacts, they talk about these big bodies entering the atmosphere at some kind of nutty speed (40,000 mph I want to say, at least), and a lot of times they explode before hitting the Earth. They just explode.
Explode?
What would make a hunk of iron or even more boring compounds explode like that? Break apart in re-entry - I sure understand that - we all learned about that from the Space Shuttle Columbia incident. And shooting stars burning up in the atmosphere explains that just as well.
That explode part is just never explained though. They just say, "it exploded". Even the Tunguska event is described more as an explosion than a direct hit (though they call it an impact in the history books).
Anyone know why they use that explosion description?
I wish I had a source for this, but I read something about this "problem" for which I too can only hope. There's a very specific rule about gambling/lotto winning taxes and gifts. It's really exclusive to lottery winners, getting double-taxed. I think there are only a few types of income that you can be double-taxed on. In a way, isn't that part of the death tax and how it plays into the whole debate on it?DarthWoo said:I only wish I actually had to deal with the following question in real life, but I'm just curious in case it actually comes to pass. I must have been dozing off in my Federal Income Tax class, because when I was hypothesizing over what I'd do if I won a huge lottery, I did some digging and found that the tax consequences would be a bit different than what I thought. I had been under the impression that taxes would be withheld on the winnings, in the upper bracket of 35% or whatever off the lump sum that I would take. Then I'd be free to split the winnings with my family as I intended. Now I find that there's a gift tax of some sort over amounts greater than $13k per person or something like that. Does that mean that if I won the lottery and had federal tax withheld, it would be double taxed via the gift tax?
