What exactly is the significance of a jagged irises, if there is any? Mine are all pointy, but I have 20/20 vision, and have never strained my eyes really.
 
This is an incredibly stupid question for a video game forum, but how do you eject a game from an original nintendo? thanks

I'm trying to download this game demo on to my psp and I get an error message "An error has ocurred (0x80048510)" I can't find anything on the internet about a solution or even cause of this error. So wtf is going on here?

So I read that Steve Jobs has been getting a $1 salary for about a decade now. Thats because his stock in Apple is worth 1 billion and stock in Disney is 4 billion...

My question is: The value of his stocks dont mean he got money in the bank..right? I mean, its the equivalent of keeping a pristine old car thats worth millions...but until you sale the car its just WORTH millions.

Can someone explain to me how people like Jobs gets paid or keep money in the bank?

It says something about a present and asking you to wait, so I'm assuming she's asking you to be patient for your Christmas gift. Don't know what the second paragraph says though.
Might want to wait for another gaffer to translate it more thoroughly for you.

Pretty sure he's paid in Apple stock options. And Disney pays annual dividends--he would make $50 MM+/yr from that alone, if your figure is correct.

Someone as wealthy as Jobs generally makes most of their money through investment. I'd guess he has a few people working for him solely to manage his investments. They invest in equities, bonds, hedge funds, perhaps real estate, and private equity funds.

His immediate cash flow needs are known ahead of time to his investment people, and funds are kept in cash and/or pulled from treasuries to pay for things. If he has unexpected and large cash needs, they'll sell some equities.
 
(using laptop a)i'm getting my new laptop today(laptop b) and i was wondering if there's a way to sync my ipod with laptop b's itunes and not have everything on the ipod deleted.

so is it possible?

Anyone who listens to the "Out of the game" podcast, there was a book that Shawn Elliot recommended a while back about a post apocalyptic United States where several vastly different "mini societies" spring up after civilization as we know it falls. Sounded really interesting but the name escapes me.

Dividends

edit: a quick looks shows disney's share price to be $32, if his stock is worth $4bn then he has roughly 125 million shares. Last year the dividend was 35cents a share, which is $44m. More than your average salary.

You can do that with many pieces of software in some form. Logic for example.
 
Anyone want to try and assist me in changing my NAT type from "strict" to "moderate" or "open" on COD:MW2?

I also called my ISP, and they were no help.

So anyone with an answer on how to do open ports so I can actually play my X-mas gift online? It's annoying that all my other games work but not this.

If I were to make the switch to Linux, which version should I go for?

I play Steam games, WoW, Diablo 2.
I use Photoshop, Animation Shop, Paintshop, Imageready a lot.
I like to mess around with Google Sketchup-type programs (architecture programs).

Other than that, it'd just be for watching movies, listening to music, and surfing the net.



I know not all of those options are available on Linux, but which comes the closest? And does anybody know of software for architecture design that runs on Linux?

Woohoo my first stupid question!

So my partner has an iphone with AT&T. Is it possible for him to add me to his plan? I know you can add family members under the Family Talk plan but this is quite different.
 
A lot of newer cars seem have push-button ignition. What's the advantage of this? I prefer actually turning a key because it's kind of satisfying. Am I missing something?

It's harder to steal because you need the fob for the car to start. Also as mentioned, some people don't have thumbs or have arthritis.

That's an image file from a disk, like an ISO. Google some Mac ware that should help you load the image on a virtual drive and access the program.

Zelda question

I am going to play through all of the main Zelda games in order of release (finished the first one yesterday, working on Zelda II now) but I'll eventually get to the Oracle games which came out on the same day. So which should I play first? I was thinking Ages just because it's first alphabetically, but is it better to start with Seasons?
 
I bought my fiancee and iPod for christmas and am sending it to her. I loaded it up with a couple gigs worth of songs and made playlists for her and everything.
When she installs iTunes on her computer and hooks up the iPod and syncs it, it will wipe her iPod though, right? Clear out all the music because the iTunes library it is trying to sync with is empty?
I do know how to grab the music off the iPod and get it into a library (had to go into the iPod in My Computer and do it earlier). What can I tell her to do to prevent losing all the music I put on there for her?

The past week has been the extent of my iTunes-using experience and I fucking hate it...
 
Change the ipod from auto-sync to manual in itunes.





[E] Also, you will need to put the music on the ipod when it's set at manual.
