Thinking of getting tattoos on my neck behind/underneath my ears. How much do you think small, one colour tattoos, a few centimetres in total area, would cost? I'm guessing they're going to be very painful and cause headaches after the session?

apparently yellow is a higher concentration of sperm. however if it's really yellow you might want to go to the doctor.

This might be better posed in the poli-gaf thread but....

Why is it when I watch the campaign rally's of the upcoming presidential candidates I see a diverse mix of all races at an Obama rally but only see white people at a Mcain Rally? Seeing this why wouldn't McCain try harder to reach out to the other ethnic groups of America?

Oh. I guess it's different for me because I lived in many different places growing up. That question is fairly loaded to me. I usually have to ask them to specify what they mean.

Nothing, no light means no color.
 
So question about tabbed browing. If you have several instances of IE open, the machine will use video RAM as if it was displaying all of them at the same time. Does the same go for tabbed browsing? Does the computer behave as if it was displaying all the tabs at the same time?
 
Why does my laptop start out in a crappy resolution when I boot it up, and why does it switch to a crappy resolution when I open it after it's already on? I have my NVidia settings saved to 1440x900. It's really fucking annoying. It also does it sometimes when I alt tab out of a game, even though the game is running at 1440x900

I don't think the CPU processes what it can't see, ie: closed tabs should not impact overall video usage.

can anyone suggest a low cost videocard upgrade over a nvidia 7300le? im more concerned with playing hd videos than gaming performance.

i just hate how the 7300le leeches off my ram.
 
K, here's a question. What is that little square next to people's user names? Usually it's green and it says "neutral" when you hover your cursor over it. But other times it's red and there's a hidden tag under it, always negative. I guess the people who have that either have been banned many times or are especially hated by mods. What's the deal with that?

It's the "reputation" meter. Other boards use it actively. You can give positive or negative reputation points to somebody for one of their posts.

Is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 a decent video card for gaming?

When people talk about "building their own computer" do they mean they buy the components and literally put the computer together themselves? Or do they pick the parts and some company puts it together? If the former, is it hard?

What does being an accountant entail? Is a college education necessary?(NJ, USA fwiw)

I have a deviated septum, and a lot of trouble breathing through my nose. Would getting the surgery on the deviated septum cure my woes or is it likely something else?
 
This is something I don't understand. Suppose you're going on a train right, and you decide to jump off it. Why do people roll when they're jumping just to the ground? I know it has to do with the force of the train or something but it's something that's been bothering me for a while.
